how long to wait between parvo shots?

Good to hear your dog doing all-rite..some people don't relaise that lamp-post's,corners;etc;etc; are full of virus's+illiness....like us catching the common cold......some fight it off better than other's............

Just thought Id bump this up on "new posts" button....as a reminder...and as good reading for new comers.

Im going to try to seek a "wormer" thread that I feel is good and bump it up ever 15th of months.

Last winter I did not give the fenbendazole. And noticed that after feeding some raw deer...that one dog had a couple dead worms last month after no wormer during winter....note to self...do it all year..it aint costing much now....

Same as the goat. Size wise it should already state the ml per weight on the bottle. Do it for 3 days.

I use safe guard for goats myself. Its the same shit labled for dogs it just costs a fraction of what the dog version does because its labeled for livestock and not someones couch denter. Most pet owners won't normally take the time to figure out active ingredients so the companies get away with taxing them 10x over, and they'll pay it without complaint. The saying is very true and these companies know it,

Id recommend anyone who dont have one to get the Pit Bull Bible. Will pay for iteslf just in the savings part of the book.

 

Yes, 3 days in a row. I worm mine as pups at 6, 8, 12 and 16 weeks then its unlikely I'll do it again unless theres a reason to other than maybe every few months for prevention unless I see signs it's necessary or i have a litter on the ground. Getting a fecal float is cheaper than constantly worming and if theres no reason to, i prefer to not give meds. You can worm with safe guard pretty much as much as you want bro. Leathal dose is ridiculously high.

I was told to use the increment or dosage per lb. On bottle.
I think near a ml per 50lbs.
1.2 ml if not mistaken.
I adjust a bit for sampler ones.

Im not sure on the cc conversion..may be a tenth.

I think the Pups get the 5 available..when i started giving shots..it was a 3 way..which no longer available...5..7..9..and 10.
And i use an easier wormer the 1st time for pups...happy jacks..then hit em with the fenbendazole next.

We do give some intermuscularly in horribke cases of babesia(I haven't but ppl I know have). Otherwise it's the 1/10 a cc per 10lbs orally.

 

That sounds the same as I was instructed.
I did some initial research when I switched to the Ivermec and I just remember the .11c per 10#..
The mark after .9 on my syringe is wore off..but I think it was .10cc and 1 ml are equal.
The decimal point was the thing to watch.
.1cc..... And 1cc are different.

I give over food. I know 1 person who injects. Says no issues. A heartworm check is recommended prior obviously.

The goat wormer(fenbendazole)....for sure..best bang for buck. In combination with Ivermec should cover you.
I am also going to use the apple cider stuff.
