New Staffordshire bull terrier dog - not the same.

Paterdale or a jadg maybe for digging.
Nothing unusual about it really. It was not a cobby dog ..more same size as the game...and there were actually 2 dogs.
A young one in training and an oldet staff..
Not if the working style was unusual or not..but they were doing the job.
The post is aboit the staff not being the same as in past. ..well im just here to tell you that I have seen some decent ones of today. No doubt there are other breeds that can do or out do another...ebreedogs of the same breed have differences.

 

My white female is Irish Buster x Roxy.

The Brindle is an outcross. Mother was English working stock and the father was a Dynamite bred dog.

 

Both that and the game staff sights are awesome sites for the breed.

 

No doubt about it there's still some getting the job done but I don't think strong dogs get anything out off being dug to. Drawing the prey to engage it above ground works better for most and is a better test off ability imo.

 

Yeah.I always thought they drew them my self at the END...the ones over here ar not that small to go to ground like a true terrier..in some place's I suppose..but those are the big places.an besides it would be more hassel then it's worth...better used for drawing most definitely...

 

Just noticed he's American maybe the setts are bigger over there. I know the badgers are different species.

 

Definitely a different species! Most animal studiers seem to say they are the same as the European species,but I dought they are...I don't think there as aggressive as old brok...I could be wrong.....they may be slightly smaller then the European ones as well..

Soze I think my Staffs was a bit small too. my Staffs would grab the hog and the hog would run off with my dog. I favor a taller dog too.

 

My next dog will come from this kennel.

 

My brothers friend has a male off gamestaff kennels. I could find out how he turned out.

 

I know a couple people that contacted gamestaff about dogs and they all said they were not a fan of the owner at all. And the one guy that did buy one said he was a total prick. I personally think his dogs are mainly small apbt with hung papers to be honest.

He has a bitch Lakeland terrier he plans on breeding to him to create good ground dogs. Pups should be similar to a ruff coat Patterdale/Fell terrier. His little bitch Lakeland is a ball off fire.

 

So that's him on the right. My brother says he is full of energy and drive and a very strong dog for his size. He says he can give a 70lb cur mutt more than they can handle. He likes the kennels dogs much more than the kennels owner. But to each there own.
