Hey from the UK!

Hello there, as the title suggests, I'm from the uk! I'll try not to bore you to death but I'm not very good with words but here's a little about myself and my dog!

These dogs, there abilities and resolve, fascinate me! I've owned 4 apbt bitches over the last 25years, one at a time. My current dog is a 3 year old 36pound red/brindle, red nosed bitch named Ruby, hence the name I'm using! I know she's from working stock but, unfortunately, know very little about "the stock"! I'm "told" that she's down from redboy/jocko/jeep blood? But being from the uk there's no ped only word of mouth???

The only thing I know for fact (with my own eyes) is her father went uphill, 6lbs, for 35minutes till the other quit!

So, in a land that is actively culling and persecuting, these amazing creatures and not knowing anyone in "the game"! I think she's about as close to the real thing as I'm going to find!

How do you even take her out for a walk? Don't they euthanise pits in the UK?

Welcome, your little female looks great. I'm also a bit curious on how you keep her though, has anyone ever asked about her breed? Do you call her a stafford mix?

 

Sounds fishy to me, you appear more literate than you let on. With someone who obviously has a little intelligence you introduced yourself with a idiotic post for an open forum.

 

Of course dogs in the UK have peds, obviously not ADBA registered but that doesn't mean you cant find the ped somewhere else... Tell me if what you claim to have seen is true, then how did you acquire the bitch? Why were you, an apparent amateur not knowing anyone in "the game" given a "working stock" bitch by a father who can do what you claim to have seen?

 

It is a little suspicious someone from UK ( a country where its illegal to own a dog of Pit Bull type ) post on a open forum they have a pit bull from fighting stock ,

 

I remember a fella named frank butcher who was very active on a particular forum around 15 years ago
shortly after he led operation gazpacho ( not sure of the name) many old friends got caught

 

He wants catching and burying in a deep hole, lower than a snakes belly.

Yes in Britain the barbarians “euthanise” dogs that “they” class as pit bulls!
Luckily I live in a rural area, with a massive forest on my doorstep. As far as walks go, it’s just a matter of taking the least walked paths and keeping her leashed and letting her off only for a swim in the river or after dark when the only other people in the woods are perverts or weirdos?ha

Hi springy, she’s the fourth pit I’ve had and I live in a pretty small community where people know me and are used to seeing me with this “type” of dog! You’re right, in the past when anyone’s asked I’ve said they were staff mixes! I try to live a low key life, nowadays at least, and try not to rock anybody’s boat! So far,so good!
Luckily I’ve had a proper stroke of good luck as far as taking them to the vets goes! The vet only breeds staffs and she thinks laws are barbaric and has had a real soft spot for all my dogs and pits in general!

Hi cockneyrebel, you’re right I do have a little intelligence and I am quite literate and did post an idiotic introduction, hindsight is a beautiful thing! The only explanation I can offer was I got excited as I don’t often get to talk to many like minded people when it comes to my dog or my dogs breed!

All I can do is apologise for my bad and I’ve already done that, so lesson learned!
As far as fishy goes? I’ve lived my life on the wrong side of the law and one thing it’s taught me is if I’m not involved I don’t want to know! So don’t worry about me, I’ll not be askin about anybody else’s business!
