Wrestled @ monclair state. Then transferred to unc where he was benched several matches after a huge win for going out and drinking. Said to hell with that and walked on to play football. He told the coach if he didn't let him on the team he was going to wait in the woods in chapel hill where the football players walked to practice, jump someone similar size and steal all their shit to go to practice. From then on he was starting special teams.

" A Thousand mile journey begins with one step."- Walking is so good for us. It's also puts a bright spot in any of our hounds as well. Now it took me years to go from 256 couch WT. 46 waist to 185 so keep that in mind. Same with pull ups, push-up s ECT. I'm not a good eater, I too love junk food. So we only live once. Enjoy life today. I want to thank you all and I have so much respect for you all. God bless all of you . Back to Colby on Gameness.Below Ped a pic of the my male pup I will share one of our recent crosses Ped also. Good looking pedigree.

My buddy was good friends with Mr. Sorrels. He helped him a lot with the carpet mill.

The top half should blend really well. bred back to some competitive Colby dogs should be really nice.

Apologize for getting your thread off topic. It is a good post.

Slim , you have always been treated me with respect and carried your self as a gentleman. You hit the nail on the head. It's a litter of 8, we still have 7 after years tell us the Truth, We will go back to are Best proven Colby hounds we have. Townsends Raven Oden, TDK'S/ Billy Two Hats is our next judicious cross. We would be happy to send you a pup from anything we have, now and upcoming.

There is so much hidden Colby in today's fastlane Bulldogs.
Well , 1st of all the breedings and pup , and Ped I posted isn't Redjohn. Pete Colby SR did that breeding. 2cd Why wouldn't I ? Redjohn is a Honest Bulldog from an honest family of hounds. Molly is also a Honest Bulldog being pure in Colby would frreshen rather than pollute the gene pool. Let's not forget about GR.CH.HOBO http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=232617

I will keep it in mind. Tons of respect for what you are attempting to do. My honest opinion is that it will end up being easier than it looks going in, time consuming yes, but doable.

The reason I say that is the Colby dogs are behind a lot of good dogs, both when shown on paper and when not shown.

Two things that hurt the line over time was time, and a generation of Colby's that did not see the dogs in the same light as their forefathers.

There was some money to be made on the Colby name. In turn the dogs sort of dropped off.

A generation or two of selective breeding, honest selection and breed from there. I see success in time, but not as long as most would think.

LOL dex I have no idea what you just posted but ok bro! Good luck to you man!

I think as slim posted it wont take but a cpl of generations of outcrossing to get something a fancier would like to own. I think the "keeping it simple stupid" method would be the shortest route. stick with "pure" lines that benefit your Colby stock...making it easier to decipher on what brings what to the table. breeding to a scatterbred gr ch only would delay your progress on future generations. just my opinion
