One of the hardest biting dogs ever. He pressure bit. He did not have hardly any teeth for his last couple. He gummed dogs down.

Good family of dogs. HH liked hard mouth durable dogs who were game enough to win.

Rufus was a hard working dog with a lot of go. He threw the mouth to most every thing, most were durable and the percentages of game dogs was pretty good, OK at best.

Not because they were total curs. A lot of those culled dogs may have ended up being game but it was about winning. There were a lot of game dogs culled on that side of the hill.

Rufus stayed on top of the heap.

There use to be a pedigree on peds online that had a black and white picture. Rough quality if I recall.

    Best I can do.

I think he means a hard mouth will make the other dog really think about if they want to be there or not. That's how I took it anyway.
