Is anyone using Waccamaw blood and producing anything?

Quickest way is a straight line BUT breeding dogs aint always that way. There are a lot of great winning dogs that dont produce as well as they performed....A Inbred line of dogs can produce just as good or even better then those so called winning dogs, usually when they are crossed out to another tightly inbred family of dogs.....Wacc dogs are heavily inbred, if Wacc crossed his dogs into another heavy inbred family like Tab dogs and or Eli dogs he could produce ones good enough to compete in any lane....look at those winning lines and they are mostly a product of crosses like Eli/Bolio, Eli/Carver, Jeep/Redboy, Jeep/Rascal, Jeep/Redboy/Jocko etc..etc...sometimes the game plug will produce better then his litter mate brother who is a Grand Champion.

All Wacc has to do is call up Promoe and ask him to buy one of his 1000X inbred Jeep dogs. LMAO

It still takes more work sai than something down from dogs thats already winning and producing which was my point.

Basically it will depend on many factors (including luck lol) and choices one makes that will determine if its more work or not......The O.P. could get lucky and cross his Wacc dogs with dogs from Garners Frisco and get some monsters that can compete with any dog in the fast lane.
Not necessarily, the O.P. could breed his Wacc dogs to Tab or Eli dogs and get some really great dogs that can compete with these so called kennels which was my point.

  8. I want to thank everyone who had some real input on my tread and helping a newbie on finding out how to proceed forward. Im going to keep trying to with these dogs and see if I can improve or at least keep the momentum going. My dogs are young and they are showing interest so I'll keep working with them.

Every line has it's detractors and those that exaggerate a lines worth. Raise your pups if they satisfy you when they're adults, then take it from there.

Let’s see, you have dogs from the man and you get along well with him yet you come onto a boatd to ask how is dogs are and where are the winners??

The only part I disagree with is asking on a public forum about winners. Asking who has the same blood and how they like it is a very viable way to find out what the line is producing. A breeder usually won’t bad mouth his own dogs. Asking a Chevy owner about a Ford will get you where?

If the Chevy or Ford man is honest, It really depends on how they have been taken care of.( Serviced ) I agree with your statement about a public form. I would try out a pair of pups from Wac. They have been in business for 30 plus years. Raising the hounds right and giving them a fair chance with proper care , at a mature schooled age, one might just make u proud. Just my opinion..

Mine is a cross, Mims on top and Waccamaw on the bottom.

She is a butchy looking, thick hided, RBJ dog. She happens to be wrapped in black with a white chest, but RBJ stands out.

She does not have a lot of social skills. She will not play well with others.

Typically the legwork is done prior to purchasing a pair of pups from a breeder.......

True. After most purchases tho, of any kind, ppl ask other ppl how they like their purchase if they own the same product. If I just bought an iPhone X, I would probably ask someone else how they like their iPhone. Nothing wrong with asking about how someone likes their stock from so and so. Sometimes it curiousity, sometimes it’s a measuring contest...
