Was he a tombstone or bolio dog? Opinions welcomed & facts would be appreciated...

The original pedigree is probably right. It seems hard to believe a breeder could have sold someone a Tombstone bred pup and then when the pup grew up and became famous, the breeder suddenly remembered that the pup was Bolio bred. I think Buck was a Tombstone/Maloney dog.

The people I deal with that have this blood believe Buck was a Maloney Dog ... I was told that Pat changed ped's to make it appear that buck was a heavy bred Bolio dog after buck started to come up at the time Buck became well known PP was running heavy Bolio Blood which is why he changed Ped's on buck. No one really know's for sure how buck is bred but PP himself and PP has changed ped's on Buck to state otherwise. However buck does appear to have a heavy Maloney influence.

Heard he is registered as Golden Boy (4x) offspring. When Golden boy lost to Tornado's sire, they said the ped was changed.

I hear it's a audio tape around with pp, stating his true ped. I guess nobody here has heard it. Thx for all replies

Pictures don't always say everything .. Buck also resembles Tombstone as well IMO. And it doesn't make sense for someone to conveniently remember how a dog is really bred at the time the dog becomes notable and famous. PP never produced a dog as good as buck. So it only makes sense that he would change peds at the time. Like I said before PP is really the only person who knows how buck was really bred. I am not saying you are wrong Eric I am just saying that the whole reasoning for PP swapping peds on buck doesn't seem right.

Thanks Imo I think that the possibility of that ped being correct is quite high. When a dog becomes famous its quite funny how people always recollect the original pedigree. I dont see pp producing a dog as good at buck either.

This is what makes logical sense when buck became famous and known PP was running Heavy Bolio dogs at the time what better way to drive business to the yard than to switch peds and make it appear that buck was a heavy Bolio bred dog it would have been good for business and good for his kennel name. Patrick sold buck as a pet yet he didn't remember how Buck was really bred until he got famous. Yeah something is not right about that but dog men did what they did for their own reasons so who knows.

What dog did he own, bred that way or why does he have a signed ped from pp & his wife? Thx just looking for some insights

He's got Gaston dogs and Gaston has the paperwork that was signed by PP and his wife ... Gaston's miss leaky was off Buck so was Miss Buck.

Oh and Undertakers Red Buck as well forgot him ... Gaston had a few dogs off buck they have paper work showing buck was off Golden Boy and Red Lady.

So why do you think, every one(atleast the ones I have seen) of gaston or undertaker dogs ped, is shown as buck of little tater? You would think, since he has the "correct" ped, atleast his dogs would reflect so, but they don't...

Her's is up showing off Golden Boy and Red Lady too.. Looker I really couldn't say for sure I can only tell you what they told me .. They believe Buck is a Maloney/Tombstone dog. I know they have a hand written pedigree signed by PP and his wife. And I know why they believe him to be a Maloney/Tombstone dog. But again PP bred the dog so he really is the only person for sure who knows the truth. But it doesn't make an ounce of sense for him to only remember his true pedigree after he became famous that's how I feel about it.

Really i dont think buck looked anything like tombstone from what i understand those dogs were more rangier then bolio dogs and i cant remember ever seeing any of that blood crossed without bolio in the ped buck being off little tater explains to me why alot of crosses with buck worked like the mayday/buck dogs if buck is off little tater its not a cross at all then its a line breeding buck/boyles type bitches did pretty good too and again off little tater not a true cross. And you cant go by well dam PP never bred a dog as good as buck so he must be bred differently then PP says then lol come on most people never breed a dog anywhere near bucks level that dont mean nothin i could pull up a ton of peds of great dogs that werent bred to be as good as they r PP didnt have anything to do with how good Buck was lol Buck did
