I know but ime nothing builds cardio faster than swimming. So if used as tripj said in a pre keep or beginning of keep would give the dog a good start.no?

Cause they only want get the heart rate up not build cardio. And id bet its easier to do on dry land being hooked to mashines an all.I'm not saying you guys that oppose swimming don't have valid points or dont no what y'all doing.I'm just coversating. And telling what i expirienced.personally.Ive never seen someone do an entire swim keep.in fact ive never even seen it used as a tool all I'm saying is I think it could and would be a good tool for some dogs.

yes it works even the keep master ironmike says so "and also over condition him" in other words he never could figure out what he was doing wrong .. i dont give keep details but i wll say that (IT WORKS)
but if you think its just as easy as putting a dog in a swimming hole then dont even bother lol.... if done right nothing and i mean NOTHING will take a dog to good starting point faster. as far as what everone in history has used who gives a rats ass ? a lot of those guys would talk smack about how and what the other guy used also . catmill, carpetmill, slatmill, turntable, bike, horesjenny, springpole, freerun, its endless ...... good luck folks ironmike does not loose arguments ironmike i know you know more than me but that aint saying much .

Willypete I can agree with you on the swim keep. Know of an outfit and all they use is swim keeps and there record is second to none.

The reason that I posted this in the first place is because of a situation where on a 6 week keep, my partner's entry blew 3 wheels and was on the shelf for 2 of the 6 weeks. He resorted to swimming as a result and it worked well for him. Not an entire keep, just a suppliment.

No it isn't, I had many stress tests. If they wanted to they could do it in water too.
Why, when you walk into a gym, there are so many treadmills there?
If it can bring it up, it can also build it up.
I let this go for awhile on and off when the subject came up again and I thought about whether not to get involved, then I thought the beginners needed to be protected or least warned of this BS method of working a dog.

Now it has been done, I've proven what I have said many times, now this is it, learn for yourself how it really is at the core of the real game.
BTW I didn't see anyone respond to the question if they ever conditioned using blood doping??
I guess I must know some thing when I told Floyd how to do it.
I also consoled Yankee Greg on care, conditoning and feed. and many others.
Remember the PB Bible is based of my Basic Care Kit which the author admitted too many times.:)
Now go head on with your bad self. lol

Oh ya, yes, I was the first to put up a forum on the Net for the APBT. It later became the Health & Conditioning Forum for the APBT.
We got into Oxygen Recovery to Blood Typing.
    I'm out....

I never figured what? It didn't work like the people I named knew too?
I know when a dog is over worked, do you?
Tell all of us how you know when you have, since you are such an expert.

Now you are in the area I loved best.
Fuck breeding dogs no one is an expert but this area I loved!
I don't need to get in the back seat to no one on this subject.
    Come on, tell us.
    While you are at it,
tell all of us at the end of the Keep how you bring a dog on point (peak). :)

I think he has been taking his time to try and help a few new to the breed who haven't been poisoned by all the bS on these sites.
And telling people swimming can help a dog is plain wrong. It will hurt the dog.
Unless of course one were to put that dog against a total cur dog.
But it seems one thing may have passed on....many dogs called Champions of the past were never open to the world.

He has asked a simple question which none of the "forum dogmen" have been able to answer it appears. o_O

them questions only a fool would answer or someone pre 75 like the fella say in all 50 states theres intent laws & also incrimination.can you blood dope yes. at what success is the gamble & im sure some fools went dog to dog in the kitchen after bloodwork. & it's much more then that.my era got around it with synthetic i will leave it there. the fact is keeps are different and dogs are different some didn't use flirt or poles some used pre & some didn't. what i think is funny is you'd advocate doping & disregard swimming LMFAO. if a fella needed to dope or use synthetic they probably wasn't bringing your best from the get go. and ain't that the point? i drink pepsi so i wouldn't understand anyways. the best guy i ever met couldn't tell you anything about Phlebotomy or synthetic let alone spell them. but he could spell champion & cash a check with the best of them. im one lucky mofo to have dogs down from him because i know they did it the hard way all natural othewise they didn't get bred. the man behind the dog is the biggest factors.

Well it has been long enough, you mean no one has Google "Blood Dopping" yet?
I see no one has answered the question yet.

I asked 2 questions of knowing when you have over work a dog and how you bring a dog on point.
Neither is against the law to answer or C2K better not publish Book of Keeps.

If you can't answer 2 of the most important questions, you don't know how to condition dogs, it is as simple as that.
Now you'll can talk a good game, but when it comes right down to it, ya'll lost!
Save the BS about Swim Keep because I have yet heard directly from some one (Theirself) about their success, it always a friend of a friend. PLEASE, SAVE IT!

I did lol Blood Doping is the practice of boosting the number of red blood cells in the bloodstream in order to enhance athletic performance through transfusing. Extra Red Blood cells increase stamina and endurance and deliver more oxygen and essential elements to an athletes muscle and tissues.
