I have the book and the only address I see is on the paperwork that came with it.
    21st Century Logic,
    PO Box 12963
    Austin, TX. 78711

It's more like a history book than a dog book but they go through the history of the bulldog as a breed, starting with the wolf and progressing through the mastiffs and bull baiting etc. They don't talk about pit bulls until chapters 13-15 and there are only 15 chapters in the book. It's kind of boring to read but its a nice collectible.

How long ago did you get this address? I'm wondering if it's still current.

  12. The address is printed in the book, and my copy is dated 88'. Not sure if it's still good, but the author was active posting in a few political/legal boards a few years ago. Might be able to track him down that way.

Ya please do if you can. I'd really like to get in touch with the guy and the address appears to be outdated. I just finished reading this book and it was awesome! One of the best books I've read on the history of gameness and on the importance of a free market. The way he melds these two topics is incredible. I highly recommend the book to all. It's obviously tough to find. I found it by going to my local library and they borrowed a copy from a library in a neighboring state. Libraries can do that if you ask them to search around for you.

Found what I was looking for. Thanks. Again, i recommend this book to everyone. It's the best description of the APBT I've ever read/heard.

Did you get a hold of the author? At the end of the first book he states Volume 2 will begin with the humanitarian movement. Was book 2 ever even written, much less published?

I did get a hold of the author. He never wrote a second volume unfortunately and has no plans to write one at this time. He said he decided it wasn't worth it after trying to market the first book himself and not enjoying the process.

The good news is he still has books available for sale at $50 a piece plus $2 shipping (US). He said some of them may have some "shelf wear" but are otherwise new and never been read. If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you the ordering info.

If you're interested in the history of gameness as a trait this book is for you. It's also for you if you're in interested in political philosophy (particularly you Ron Paul types).

Shoes that is great. I also have a singed copy from 88'. I considerate it a must read for canine lovers of all breeds. I disagree with "scratchin dog", it is not boring, and is one of my favorite books on canines. It is basically a book as others have stated, it's about the relationship of man and canines starting with the wolf. And then how and why man bred and created the working breeds we have today, and even some that no longer exist. It is a very, very good read, and I don't say that very often.
