Insurance

I have my mom talked into letting me get a pit bull as long as it dosnt make the insurance go up we have shelter insurance does any body have any expeiance with this. Or if it did go up did it go up a lot.

Not to sound like an ass man but judging off this thread and the pervious ones you have started that this breed is the one for you. Like I said I'm not trying to be an ass but it sounds like you don't have the knowledge or resources to keep an take care of a bulldog. What happens if your mom gets a hair up her ass one day then what what are you gonna do with your hound. Dogs or a long term thing! Just some food for thought.

if you live with your mom....then i suggest you wait until youre out on your own, have your own PROPERLY SET UP place, and then get a dog. thatll give you plenty of time to get to know folks who own APBTs and will teach you about the breed. dont jump in uneducated

I know you might think im lazy because of what i asked about the chain set up but im not im willing to make the proper chain set up and also give it plenty of exercise (running 2-3miles a day). Also i have been researching the breed for over a month so i do know quite a bit about them

 

Requirements may differ from state to state, so your best bet would be to call the current provider and speak with them. Also, don't be so combative when others offer answers you don't like...it shows you are unwilling to learn. Being enthusiastic about owning the breed is wonderful but this comes with serious responsiblity and should be treated as such. I would also encourage more research on your part before you bring a puppy of any breed home; look into the local shelters prior to looking for a cheap pup from someones backyard program. I am going to adopt from a shelter that way i will kind of know the tempermint of the dog already and you kind of feel bad because there the ones that stay in the shelters the longest. There was a golden retriever that was in the shelter got adopted by the end of the day and there are a couple pits in there they've been in there for a couple months
