    Good looking dogs,

You might get some stick from the working staff guy's on here though. They hate all show dogs.
I love the boy's colour, what kennel is he from?

@herodog. Your measurements gotta be off. There are examples of 17 " dogs at 36-37lbs and yours looks looks shorter and heavier.

most these 'athletic' staffs look like fragile whippet x's.

and no offence but that adult dog is fat,if you cut its feed a bit and walk it more it will have a better life.

photos can be decieving, my dog is bang on 17 inch and 35lbs, I was told by a show judge he was as he put it a bit up on the leg and a bit narrow chested, I guess he prefers the shorter stockier type.

I'm not saying they are, they just look like them.
I'm not going to put up pics of other peoples dogs,I'm sure they're very well adapted for A-frame and running fast.

do you have pics of your own dogs youd like to share?
if aframe and running contests are what anyone thinks make their staffords a working type, its pretty pathetic to me to say the least. get your pooch out there to hunt something worth a challenge and at least see if your dog will stand ground, itll be the closest thing to what they should like best.

you're very lucky to have quarry which can test a staff over there, the media here hate hunting with dogs almost as much as they hate bull breeds,so you can understand people not wanting to hunt with them.

    not got any new pictures.

i lost my last staff a couple of months ago in a car accident.

blanch you can always travel somewhere and see it for yourself. its not that hard or that costly and by owning this breed we at least owe it to them to make the effort and see them have fun.

sorry to hear about your staff may he/she rip. can you at least give an example of what a stafford should look like?

I give you one example, my boy looks whippety in pics and vids but when you get near him you can see his 21 inch head up close and if you see him biting something it might make you think twice about the ones that look like whippets but act like staffords must act.

i have seen both types working and all i have from deformed showstock dogs is a bad taste in my mouth, hence why i am so fixed in my opinion. i havent seen one of them 20+ ch pedigreed staffords do something worth me staying looking at it for a long time or in awe.

i'm not talking about size here, but i like a balanced stafford in body and mind even if it looks like a whippet
