I agree it happens a lot. I think it is good that it is happening but I think it would have been better for all involved, including boxing, if it had happened several years ago.

Lots of time it is when there is a fight that can be made between the big fight that pushes the big fight back. Then couple in an injury to one of the two, and another fight in the middle and that big fight is two-three-four years down the road. It happens. In those cases it is more understandable.

In the particular case of Floyd and Manny, none of those things have been applicable. Neither have been hurt or out for injury. Every time they are both 'ready' to fight the excuses piled up til they both fought someone else instead. It has been prolonged and prolonged to the point where diminished skills have to be factored in, more so for Manny than for Floyd.

That was the name I was thinking about earlier. I really thought he won the last five rounds, and the first few could have went either way. I just could not put the name on the fight I was thinking of. Thanks, S

I actually had the Castillo fight as Castillo by one. I wouldn't have been too deflated if it had gone as a draw but let's face it...........judges are often bought and paid for, not to mention the ones who shouldn't be judging fights, especially BIG fights.

I truly resent people such as Lampley and Merchant telling me what I saw. And that squirrel ass Harold Lederman drives me up the damned wall. I can't help it.........House people definitely irritate me. LOL

Anyway, those two fights, Oscar and Castillo were fights whereby they had the right plans going to disallow Floyd the ability to turn on his offense and opportunism when he wanted to and needed to. I think that now, only a knock out will suffice for Manny at this stage of things in order for him to do the same. I wouldn't have felt it came down to that 4 years ago.

Agree with that also. Four years ago a really good outing, some impressive rounds strung together and he might have had a chance with the judges. Now I think it has to be a knockout for Manny to win.

I am going to shy toward the side of being naïve and say I see more judges who do not need to be judges than I feel like things are being bought pre-fight. Maybe that is hoping against hope, but I will ride that bus for now.

I see a lot of fights where a guy makes the fight, does all the work, but has to chase. On the end of that chase he has to eat a jab to do work. For whatever reason lots of judges over-point for that one jab and do not award for the work after the jab. With that said, I bet we will see a lot of 10-9's for Floyd and even a couple of 10-8's too. I don't see the cards being close after 12 rounds regardless of whether the fight is close. Manny has pretty much got to flatten him to win.

I am not a big Floyd fan but I not only think he will have to be knocked out to win, I think he should be at least sat down a couple of times to lose the title by points.

As the great Ric Flair said, "To be the man, you got to beat the man". I think Manny has to beat him (knock him out) to be the man. S

Wilder is not on Klitschkos Level. it would be over shortly! First right Hand from Wlad wins the fight, it wont take more than 3 rounds...i would like to see Wilder vs. fury thats actually a competitive good fight. let the winner of that fight klitschko. Wilders opposition has been verry bad besides Stiverne so hes still green and needs more experience against top10 oposition.
Pacman vs. Mayweather is a great fight of course but both fighters prime is over. 2010 would have been the perfect time for that fight. But even now its a great fight doe and its 50:50 to me. I like Pacman more as a fighter and as a Person as well so i hope he wins. I dont want Floyd to retire undefeated.
