Who stole gr. Ch. Art?

Nice post with Harry.I never read that interview till u posted it.Back in the 80's like I said a lot of guys said how game Snooty was and so forth.This proves my point when we where discussing about the stories that there are so many stories out there saying this dog is a game dog or its a cur.You never know unless u was there.I remember how a lot of stories would get started "Well I heard it from a good source this dog quit".Then u find out the person that says it well he heard from a friend that heard from a friend.But, if u have the issues from SDJ in 1988 you will get a kick out of the articles on Snooty.

 

I recently read this interview again with Harry.This isn't correct."As I said earlier in this interview that we are making that Snooty quit which he did and It was against Obnoxious Ox in SC and he quit in 2:13 minutes,he was un hurt he was just tired.He stood in the middle of the pit and took the count.Ox was the winner and I don't think he was any better then Snooty was because neither one of them did any work all night long .So I'm going to say that that should have been a draw.That's about all I have to say about anything from Spanky and Snooty." Read SDJ April/May issue 1977 on page 19 or 39, Snooty quit 1:39.In the report, "he ran out of gas." o:-)

Off topic question: The one thing I never got on the interview was their reasons for saying Bo didn't quit.. I remembered years ago it was people saying LP would do anything to win and some cried foul while most just said Vindy was better that day but JC also had his reasons for breeding to him(glad he did) but what was their conclusion in the Bo x Vindy show...3 breedings would of been Art x HB, Hurt x HB(JC tried several times) Midnight Cowboy x HB

 

I do believe Buck was aka Hall's Blue Boy. If I recall it correctly, Bobby wrote this in his book.Most knew Weehunt died in a kennel fight. Irish Jerry got into dogs in 1968 and I believe Weehunt, from Paul's breeding, was the first grand champion I.J. had.He had a short stud career but he did produce a few good ones.

 

I was aware this because I saw all those dogs. Art/Polar Bear for one. Hurt in Mo. when he went into Ch. Hog's brother Ike. Patty in time became known as a pretty good producer, which is often over looked. You also find her name in the pedigrees of dogs behind Db. Gr. Ch. Tornado.

 

Is there any truth to ch.hurt being sterile?

 

That is what James told me. He stated he bred him to 22 females and not one pup. o:-)

 

they probably said the same about zebo x honeybunch but nothing much came from that breeding.its impossible to know til you get it done.

I have a better question, does anyone have a picture of Art's brother Tadpole?I have yet found one or know anyone who knows for sure if Art had a brother named Tadpole alive.IMO, one and the same!

 

i think Tadpole was from the repeat breeding , I cant recall for sure if Lemm had a picture of him on his old old website it was either Tadpole or Double OO ...

No, Eli was stole from John Cotton in TN. I remember when this happened.
This has been hashed out before of who stole Eli.
It has been made known what Floyd Boudreaux, Bob Wallace, Lester Hughes said who stole Eli.

I never saw a picture of Tadpole on Bobby's site. Some one related to Bobby has a site making thread mills again.
It is isn't Bobby's wife Janette.
I know the call number isn't from Alvin or from the same county but up by Houston.
Gr. Ch. Art went back to Texas, right where came from.
Also about that time Ch. Toro was stolen.
Owner of Toro knew Art and Toro was on the same yard...
