So tomorrow I plan to put the dog on a raw diet, he does like raw food, so it shouldnt be a problem, just wondering what you guys use for foods. I had my first pit on a raw diet, but it didnt work out, weird yellow poop.... anyway haha. I know I need stuff like yogurt (what kind), eggs (raw or hard boiled, and just the inside right? I gave raw eggs whole before, but the shells came out whole). How often should I switch the meat up? Is 2 weeks for one meat, then 2 weeks for another too much of a span? Also What kind of veggies? Should I put fish in there? If so what kind?
    I have:
    15lbs of chicken(1 whole chicken @ 5.5lbs and 10lbs of leg quarters),
some parsley (i know its good for vit C & A)
    a broccoli stalk (vit C)
    green beans (vit K),
a cucumber (i dont think ill get that again, just looked up the nutritional facts, not much to it...)
    And 4 eggs.
This is to last 2 weeks, BUT, I also have cans of dog food. 3 EVO and 1 Wellness. I figured I would add in 1/2 a can each day. Thats only for 1 week though.

I got sick of picking up 4 piles of poop everyday  plus, its healthier and hopefully he will start to look better. He has gotten kinda um.... fat, since his surgery.
Will upload a pic of him from today, whenever I find my camera cord lol

why would you neuter a male? all you did was take away his source for muscle building, brain function, and bone mass stability.
males can't get pregnant, so the males aren't the issue. all the info to do such things is BS propaganda to make money. there are
no health benefits, only the reverse. your dog looks like it aged 5 yrs overnight. go figure.

I neutered him because there is no need for him to have them. He does not need to be bred, and in case I ever give him to someone else (or he gets stolen), they dont need to be breeding him either. He cant get cancer there if he doesnt have them. And his aggression has gone almost completely away. My dog, I do what I want with it, so mind your own business, I didnt ask for your opinion on neutering him. I also didnt say anything about him looking like he aged. I said he gained weight. Read before you make stupid remarks.

"she" being the key word. i can tell you're not to versed in dogs, so I'll just leave you alone on that long twisty road. just a rule of thumb, do your own research, and never take 2nd party info as factual. testosterone has alot to do with brain cell function.
it has to do with the way amino acids (protiens) bind to cells and improve overall health. cancer? thats a good one.

    My advice:

Meat: chicken quarters and liver, cow heart and lamb necks, sardines, tuna.

Extra fats: cottage cheese, soft boiled eggs and oils (olive, salmon, codfish liver for example).

Veggies: pinapple, kiwi, spinachs, lentills, rice, broccoli, carrots, apple. (Remember veggies just a 10% of total feed)

Others: Kelp seaweed, apple cinder vinegar, spirulina, gingseng, bee pollen.

With that and the right %, controling the dog's weight you should be able to set a good diet.

Now you just need a big freezer and get the right prices for all this, also cooking the diet for a week will make you stick longer with this diet.

I feed my dogs can tuna, the problem with tuna it has high sodium so i give them twice a week and not with eggs, dogs tend to retain liquids if too much sodium or potasium given. Any raw fish should be freezed before feed.

canned tuna has higher traces of mercury,...i would stay away from it to be honest.

I know that, but you shouldnt base a diet on can tuna, its just a food that has lots of benefits given in the right amounts, you could give a supplement based on omegas i guess and get the same result.

PS: I was looking for more info about canned tuna, here in Spain the % of mercury is really low compared to other parts of the world. Not sure about US.
