Crush there is no damn inbreeding/linebreeding chart for you to follow. Follow youre gut , make breedings based on individual dogs. Breed to produce overall better dogs than the sire damn. Breed dogs that complament one another . Be honest, Cull hard and quit makeing retarded threads.

 

true but again theres no rule that says a 18mth old dog can't swim in deep water and there have been enough dogs to prove so. some show it earlier, some not till way later. theres no magic age.

 

theres plenty of good dogs that come from half bro/sis breedings. nothing wrong with doubling up on a great dog and as long as the sire/dam are good dogs themselves then you should get what you're looking for.

 

these type of breedings are done for brood stock. if you get one you can use it's a plus . the dogs are at their best at 3 years old . some do it earlier but 3 is the best .

I have a litter of 6m old puppies here that I am sure are showing to be just as good as those 16m old puppies. Barking and playing all day. "so good so far".

My point is people do these breedings for different reasons. Most just like to see high percents of dogs from the 70s and 80s, some actually have some tight bred dogs because the need to out cross hasn't come yet.

There is no magic age. I perfer to not rush mine. Thats just me. Cant ruin em sitting on them until fully mature. You can however ruin one showing him too mutch too early. Why take the chance? I personaly have nothing but time. If imma raise a pup to maturity im going to do any and everything to give him a fair shot. Rushing a dog along is a no no in my book. But to each there own. There have ben and are manny manny examples of dogs that proved themselfs at an early age But the thing is everytime you set a young dog down to pull you are risking ruining a prospect that may have fooled you.I dont take those chances.

Who doesn't know of these examples? You can find examples of nearly anything if you look hard enough.
