Making and Selling Break Sticks

So I was wondering if my fiancee was to make and sell break sticks would any of you guys be interested?

He hand carves them from wood and does good quality work. He's made me a couple and I think they look awesome. They're very sturdy as well.

He's wanting to make them and sell them for 10 dollars plus shipping.

I'll post some pictures of a break stick he made me later.

But I was wondering would you be interested at all?

This is one he's currently working on.

It's still a work in progress, he uses very thick and strong wood he finds and then works his magic.

 

i think he should put more time into making them before selling any. sorry but those look really shotty & week. i seen worse made BTW good luck with your stick making & selling.

 

i'd have him drop the price to $10 flat. I'm sure it does the job but the finish just isn't as nice as some you can get for similar price. What kind of wood?

 

Probably do the job but for commerical sales the finish needs to be much better (smoothen , add grip part ect).

 

hed be better off using a hammer handle, drillin a hole for a tether strap, you have to sand em or theyll splinter, belt sander table saw, youd be shocked how easy they are to make look nice,

 

I'm all done with wood sticks, I been blowing threw them damn things to fast. Got some heavy duty Plexy glass sticks and I've never ever seen or used anything half as good. My Teflon sticks are great and durable as well, but absolutely no more wood. JMO

 

Bwahhhhh I aint paying shit for a piece of widdled wood.Catchdog is right a hammerhandle break stick would be way better the wood is tempered and hardend witch makes the stick way more durrable. I have a partner who carves them with designs like bulldog faces or Collers between the handle and the stick. He only charges 25-30 and there fucking amazing and no two are alike.There is a member or two who have bought sticks from him at the Mi. confo shows. Good luck but I wouldent sell cars if I have never drove one.

:rofl:.........why not get a sheet of nylon and a grinder? Or as was said, hammer handles. Or a little sand paper and some type of finish? Either way, to answer you're question.......no.
