He sound bored, are there lots of things to chew? what about a canon bone, mine will chew those till theres nothing left.
    How old is he?
What i do for my bitch in her crate on the deck is chuck a big sheet over it so its dark and she cant see anything.

give him something to chew on when u crate him and then ignore them. put em somewhere that u will be able to sleep. if you come when they cry they will keep crying. They cant cry forever, i just deal with it for a week or two and they learn they are wasting their time. the sheet works but i have seen adult dogs that need sheets to be quiet. i'd rather nip the problem in the bud and get it over with

do a search for "seperation anxiety"

couple things that i have used:

radio or tv playing softly...my dogs prefer ESPN
cover the crate w/ a sheet or blanket

  5. Do this, don't give in and take him out for crying EVER (unless you know he has to eliminate, then take him to do his business and put him right back). You need to stay firm and deal with the hell, it will stop eventually. If you cave at all though it will last 10 times as long.

I do exactly the same things rallyracer!

Bottom line is keep the dog occupied, busy and in a secluded part of the house...or try to put the crate wherever you are depending on whether he barks when your around or not!
