I was thinking of breeding my boy Dozer http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com...?dog_id=333085 with a heavy Jeep/Maverick female dont have females ped. but the sire is Bar-Nuns Trouble and the dam is Baywatchs Angel Baby

What did Dozer do to deserve being bred?

Why? My dog doesn't need to win shows He is the best dog I've ever owned and he is very loyal, obedient,and a great hunting partner all great qualities that I would like to continue.I could care less about ribbons and trophys those are for people who want to increase the value of their dogs or to become well known,none of that matters to me im in it for the dogs nothing else.

 

you asked watcha think and he gave his response,but i'm with you if you like him and are breeding for you and have a place for your pups and are going to cull or fix the ones that don't work out do you.

 

My honest but humble opinion.... The dog looks good on paper, but I don't really like the way the dogs looks.( which is not really important anyway) my question is, why wouldn't you want to breed more towards the mims side?? What make you want to cross it out?

I'm sure he does, it's more of a structure thing. Or it could be a bad pic, but his stifle looks really straight. But, it's not my dog, good luck with your breeding choice. I hope works out for you. JMO

 

Its a bad photo from an elevated position he has a great frame and very stromg for his size 42 pounds at time photo was taken.Im not sure if im gonna breed him just wanted to know if the cross was a good idea.Ive only bred him twice one of the times was to his daughter and those dogs are a fckin handfull.

 

Figures I would get a response like that. So your dog is loyal, obedient, and a great hunting partner? Aren't they all like that? I could pick a stray up of the street and he could be all of those things in a couple weeks.

I'm pretty sure everyone who's ever wanted to breed a non-titled dog has used this line.

 

What a dog really has to do to deserve to be bred is illegal, So I wouldn't post it anyway...Just my opinion

 

best advice right here. if someone has their mind set on breedin they are gonna do it no matter what anyone ele says. not sayin your dog is or isnt worthy, thats a matter of opinion plus i've never seen ur dog. but if the pups are gonna by you for hunting then why not. fixed the ones who arent gonna be bred or kept and make sure u have food homes lined up. you know ur dog better than anyone here but dont be blind about his abilities, be realistic. good luck with the breeding

Thanks for all derogatory comments very helpfull guys:rolleyes: My pups go to family members in Texas and Arizona and Ive only kept one of my pups. As Ive said before I dont sell my pups nor do I breed constantly like a lot of folks.
So you guys can say what you want I just asked a simple question.

 

...and you got simple answers. If what you really wanted was for people to send you cyber pats on the back, tell you how wonderfully the ped reads, how right the dog looks and how marvelous your idea to breed dogs, just because you can, sounds why didn't you just say so instead of asking people what they thought?

 

If you didn't ask the question, you wouldn't have gotten those derogatory responses. If you can't handle constructive critism, then you should not start a post asking others opinions. Everyone has different taste and everyone has different levels of quality, at the end of the day, your the one who has to live with the dog. So, you have the only opinion that's actually counts.JMO

 

it don't matter what you say/tell anyone. ask all the questions you want.
your only doing harm to yourself and your dogs if you can't be honest with yourself. being honest to yourself is where it all starts.
