East coast wasn't hot until the 90's???? Are you kidding me? Just because good lyricists ain't being played don't mean the east dont got it. I'll take joell ortiz over any body you wanna throw at em. living in oz believe it or not the bboy culture has been a big part of my upbringing back then it was nwa, cube, ultra mags krs ect ect ect . our own type off hip hop has taken off here in the last ten. im 31 today and i dont follow it as much but i feel thet our infuence in the genre have diminish which is silly since our scene is so young. our music has followed its own path in the rhymes are more about our day to day life than trying to be something we are not. bbqs and beer and big old v8 cars.

wow reallly, joell ortiz??? he is better than wayne? lmao, i dont even listen to wayne that much but i respect a great lyricist. ortiz is good, not an elite rapper. and def not on the level of a jadakiss or a fabolous. and do u not know the about original elite rappers? to say rap wasnt hot in the east tilo the 90's shows ur either young or you just dont know the roots. when it blew up it was east coast THEN it deathrow took it over. Are you confusing me with someone else? I never said eastcoast wasn't hot until the 90's, I was shocked someone said that. I can't believe you just said lil wayne is a great lyricist. He's a joke that uses too much autotune and raps about nothing but money. He's garbage. Joell ortiz is what a real lyricist is, wayne couldn't never compare. You were on point with jadakass but fab is so so. Eminem, nas, crooked I, immortal tech,canibus, joell oritz, joe budden, prodigy, big l, biggie, jay z, jadakiss, styles p, sheek louch, chino xl, tech n9ne..those are real lyricists..wayne would never wanna hold a mic to them. He's commercial garbage. Artists like joell ortiz paint picture when they rhyme, they tell stories.
