OX tail?

I was at wal mart and i noticed they have ox tail in the organ sextion. Would this be in any way beneficial to add to my dogs diet? thx for any feedback

 

Not too sure about dog feed, but if you put em in some greens or lintels, thats some good eattin boi let me tell ya.

 

Ox tails are expensive! I wouldn't give them to my dogs for that reason alone lol

Add a little allspice, and you're damned right. Feed ox-tail to the dogs? Shit, they would have to fight me for it.

 

My dogs LOVE oxtail. But I would qualify that as a bone meal not organ. As for me I have never personally eaten it.

had to eat that crap groing up.i don't eat it anymore,but i heard it is good for the dogs jaw muscles.

 

i guess it's a southern thing,but surly not crap let me tell u,they are exspencive and it's was a part of a cow that noone wanted,it was always for the lower class people until the upper class found out what they was missing and then the price sky rocketed on them.that part of the cow was it's tail LOL!!!

 

i love ox tails done right. and theyre great for the dogs along with turkey necks. he gets his and i get mine sometimes ill give him some greens and cornbread too

They are some good eatins. My mom makes this filipino dish with ox tail, damn good!

 

Pigs feet are good....But souse meat is what we liked where I came from. I tell ya you have missed out on all sorts of good eating, Thing is folks don't eat like we used to eat and then it all depends on your part of the country as well.

Something you need to track down is a good chicken fried steak with mashed taters and cream gravy all over everything, If you can track it down in your area you will love it. If they put brown gravy on it feel free to proceed to knock them out, If they ask you how much gravy you want on it tell em to just plain murder it with gravy.

 

i havent had a good chicken fried steak since i left texas, or for that matter biscuits and gravy... i will be back to the golden triangle soon

 

Oh you just ain't living if you haven't had a good platter of biscuits and gravy.

One of my favorite breakfasts consists of about 5 biscuits split open with gravy one them, About a pound of bacon and about 4 or 5 eggs and about a half gallon or so of milk. You just can't beat it.
