Bump... guess I'm the new Ben when it comes to these dogs now, LOL.

 

I'll play with the Midnight Cowboy & Chivo brother thing, but YOU should know being from Fl. that they were not BROTHERS. If you had raised as many as I have you would know this.I seen proof of this way back in the 80's. Chivo was out of the Carver's "CRACKER" dog. This is why you could continue to breed their offspring, because it was a very good CROSS. Now, to the best they were bred to IMO was DAVIS' "MIDNIGHT COWBOY" X DIVINES "PATTY" & DAVIS' "CHIVO" X DAVIS' "PIGGY" THIS PRODUCED THE "Ch. BRANDY" dog, and I know 1st hand about her because I was in the [] with her for 58 mins........... but nice thread, just people answering that don't know. IMO and others that were there "CHIVO" was the better of the 2 in the [] and produced better %'s. No dissrespect just "OLD TIMER" that was around them maybe more than you.

I DO SAY SO BEN!!! And NO I wasn't there, just like YOU were not there for your Nelson/Delocht/Ramsey breeding for what you raise. How many people do you invite over for your day of whelping.JK But I was sitting at the Davis' kitchen table with Margret waiting on Baker to get home to bred a Female to the "SRACTCH" (Double Boomerang) dog. This is when I was told for the 1st time and about 2 months later I was at a Dogman's house that showed me the original papers with "Ch. CRACKER" being the sire to some dogs he had out of "CHIVO" Some more info that a lot of people don't think about is the great "HONEYBUNCH" was out of the "AMBER" female that was a 1/2 sister to the "CRACKER" dog. Also a little more for you. The DAM of the great "IRONHEAD" was a littermate to "CRACKER". Pull up pics on these and then compare them to "BULLYSON'S, "MIDNIGHT COWBOY". COWBOY dogs are everwhere completly different styles & heads & builds. CHIVO was a great dog, but people like the attitude of the COWBOY dogs better,started young and very aggresive for a short time though. CHIVO dogs went to select people and were keep at Baker yard. COWBOY pups were sold to anybody with CASH. Ben I raised these dogs for many years along with BOOMREANG stuff I could tell you some real wild stories about the "BIG 3" from the Davis' yard.

 

Excuse me folks, memory getting old, the "AMBER" dog "HONEYBUCH'S dam was straight out of the "CRACKER" dog. Not a 1/2 sister. SORRY!!! Getting to old for this SHIT!!! Maybe I'll leave all the info for BEN!!!!LOL

NAUSTROMS, YOU KNOW THE ONLY REASON THIS WAS LOOKED AT AND WAS RESPONDED TO WAS "BEN" WAS ONE OF THOSE THAT CALLED ME OUT ON SOME OF MY 1st POST. I WAS NEW THEN AND WAS A "SNITCH" I THINK IS WHAT HE USED AND NEEDED VOUCHED FOR AND ALL THE OTHER "SHIT". BUT "YOU" ARE THE ONE THAT WROTE ME A PM AND TOLD ME TO NOT WORRY THAT EVERYONE GOES THRU THAT. I THANK YOU AGAIN, BECAUSE I HAVE MEET SOME GOOD PEOPLE ON HERE, AND I THINK ME & BEN WILL END UP THAT WAY. GOOD ON MY PART.......HE DOES HAVE SOME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SOME OF THE DOGS I'M INTERESTED IN. WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO PUT OUR HEADS TOGETHER, MIGHT END UP WITH A "BULLDOG"

i ain't going to argue about speculation. & for the record strato's actually i was there for the breeding & whelping of my original stock. so if there's any more speculation you want to post feel free to do so.so in less you were there when " cracker" "Hbunch" "ironhead" "chivo" were bred it's all really just hearsay. crackerjack was black & looked like cowboy & sirdog was red & looked like chivo. & both produce dogs red,brindle,black so from yard to yard dogs look & act different even so they from the same bloodline. chivo bloodline was sold just as much as cowboy blood. you are talking about a ara of dogs where hang'n papers was a common thing. for every great dog of that time there's probably 2-3 different papers for them. cowboy & chivo are no different.

 

Well, you can only try to pass on what little knowledge you have to other people, but it seems like every posts I read from this BEN guy he's the TRUTH and we all are speculating (as he puts it). You know when you stop finding things interesting or maybe learning from others to me it would be a very dull life to get up each day. You are a very negative person towards other people lifetime of expeirences and that's sad. You hardly ever have or add any information to any of our questions just SPINNING around. Your a HOPELESS case. Good luck where ever your (know it all) attitude ends your journey. P.S. Never mentioned COLORS there buddy, Spinning Again??????

Your right on!! I have raised dogs from straight out of "BUSTER" until today. I went thru Morgan's "ROCKY" Irish Tom's "JUSTICE" Rebels' "SUNDANCE" on down to Lee"s "RENO" Pettus' "LUKE" and still have them at my yard as we speak. Ben made the statement on one of my posts, QUOTE: "WHY "BUSTER" WHEN "ARTY" WAS TWICE THE DOG AND PRODUCER". I knew about the "Arty" dog but we were having nice %'s when coming down from "BUSTER". Thought I would put 2 more Brothers on here that Mr. Ben could talk about. Nows your chance to see what others think about producing between the 2. Got THICK skin Buddy!!!!
