Manbiters whats your opinion?

yeah they acted like he was hannibal lector or something..ha ha..maybe he was that dangerous or maybe it was just for show..i think he got beat in his match

 

I know they used a couple handlers for a dog named CH Big O. http://www.game-dog.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19048. Would be great to own one that was a monster like that but not at the risk of being bit. If I had a partner that was willing to keep and feed him he would live otherwise DIRT NAP. I don't like being biten. but he was a monster.

I have young children so man biters are out of the question period. But I also believe if a dog is of the highest cailber then he should be kept,but with extreme care so no one gets hurt.

 

Yep Big O was nuts. Many "Yellow" and "Yellow" crossed dogs were and are nuts once excited. I've been torn out of my coveralls several times.:p

 

dogs bite for various reasons...unless the dog just couldn't help itself and wanted nothing but to eat you, I'd give it a chance...of course I have no kids so that's an easier decision for me...but I would never trust the dog

 

With all these media hypes and sensationalisms about pitbulls being unstable dogs, we have the moral obligation to counter such myths by breeding top notch and stable bulldogs.

Why keep a manbiter/eater when you can breed or buy stable ones? It does not make any sense at all.

The fact that a certain dog is a performer or a winner does not justify in keeping him in your breeding program. The argument "to each his own" does not hold water. We are all tied up in this passion of ours and one broken link would affect all of us. There is no such thing as individuality insofar as breeding pitbulls when it changes the vital/basic characteristics of these fantastic animals such as temperament.

 

I agree with you to an extent. i do belive in the Argument "to each his own" For

1: The next man can do what he pleases with there dogs. none of my biz.
2: There are owners and dogmen out there that are more then reponsible enough to manage and containe a "manbiter".

If someone keeps a manbiter because it's a proformer and thats more important to them that there biz. As long and they keep that shit on there yard and no one gets hurt..... To each his own. JMO

If it's already been done and you can see that it produced a stable dog, then there's no reason to off him. You may not want to breed him b/c of what he came from, but that doesn't make him any worse of an individual. You wouldn't cull a game dog just because it came from an accidental bredding of two curs would you? But, you might not breed him...

Some of those dogs won't touch one person, but will tear into anyone else. Zebo was def. a man eater, just ask Mtn Man...

 

My understanding is that man biters were put down right there in the pit. that is why the SBT became known as the "nanny dog" and why the APBT has such a high % of stable dogs above the likes of the golden retriever and such. i believe that it is a mistake not to perpetuate such a breeding practise.

i had a yard accident few weeks ago i tried to separate them and i got bit real bad i have some nerve damage buti dont think the dog meant it would you consider that a man biter
i think when a dog is in that state of mind he cant turn off so quickly what your guys take on it?

 

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO DO YOU TRUST THAT ANIMAL:confused:....
would it do it under other circumstances? whats the age of the animal, just curious...?

if it was heat of battle, i would personally keep....and house accordingly, but i got no kids so its different....

 

i definetly trust the dog he is 4 years old and he didnt start it the bitch did after the whole mess he didnt want to eat for about two days and woiund come out of his house he had no injury guess he knew he fucked up but he a good animal i think it was the heat of the battle

 

I would personally rather have a man eater that I knew what they would and could do than a dog that would mistake me for the other dog. Most game dogs do not make that mistake. They know what they are biting. Fear bitters do not look at what they are biting. When a dog makes the mistake of biting me instead of the other dog I would be more likely to get rid of him than a man eater. Usually these dogs are fighting more from fear and are more dangerous than the man eater.

 

That is a handling error on your part.
