There are plenty of comparesins available and lots of more coinsedenses
dont forget in the Era befor the PC these dogs ore there pictures ,would not have been availeble to be lookt and compeard at for the larger crouds of today .

I belive that these black dogs that we coveit for there mouth are Henry dogs crossed in diffrent ways on other blood lines.The real good black dogs down from Nigger and Eli are some of the best [] dogs around jmo.As to how they are bred I really don't care.If there are any down from Burton's Pit General great.Was it not said that General killed a gyp in heat,this type of dog is REALLY hard to back a bitch too. Its kind of funny in away Burton always said I'm no breeder and he breeds a dog that some consider one of the greatest match dogs they have ever seen.

Me and some Family and friends like to think of the three C's when it comes to OFRN stock.
Corvino, Cochran, and Clouse. From there it went on to being old Family Red Nose..Before that is tas just old Family....which there were quite a few. Some in the light and some not. I am with ya RedRumDog. There is only one person to my knowledge that has some true OF blood still bout as close to it as poss, but again based off the "OF" sruff.

 

As far as Black dogs....love em too....Some real nice to look at....good pics Limey. Some black or "black nose" dogs formed the dogs we know today. no doubt about it. I had a couple all black dogs and was questioned by some locals that have never seen a black pit. Especially coming from bully's lol...

 

All this talk of colour is meaningless and just a bunch of speculation when attempting to justify type in dogs. Nigger is linebred Dibo, a red dog down from mainly, red, buckskin and brindle dogs. He consistently threw red and buckskin dogs with dark masks like Jeff, Cracker, Spike, Clancy and a bunch more.There were black ones too when bred to black bitches but mostly they were true to type which was mostly like him. Pit General, like Nigger was apparently linebred Dibo but like Nigger, Pit General was black and threw all those black dogs if we are to believe he is Indian Pistol ....really? Where did the type go? Where did all the black dogs come from? More questions than answers.

so,theres dogs that are popping out looking very similar to descendants in thier lines or just in history dogs in general.aint that just a similar thing to throwbacks??and what happens to the looks/colour idea when these dopplegangers prove they aint worth the the feed they are fed??it sounds more a case of "exception than the rule".....

 

grch midnight is off bullyson dogs,bullyson dogs and alligator are very similar in evry aspect,there is not eaven one real proof that he is off pit general.....true is far away from speculations

 

Double tap that depends on the selection proses. key is reducing genetic variation!!. funny thing is when you ask people why do you inbreed on great dogs, then awnser is often to lock on to this dogs quality. thats fair enoughf, but with inbreeding you also dubble up on the gene pool prior to this great dog your inbreeding on!!. witch can be as good ore worce!!. meaning you can get great (ore bad) genes from lets say the past and get good dogs . HOWEVER if I inbreed on a great dog im not inbreeding on the dogs PRIOR to him. so i used color AND type to get as ""close"" as posible to the dog i inbreed on.
if i can get the quality i might as wel get the type and color with it!!!, that represends this dog the most!!.

now it thussend mean that the dogs of diferend type and ore coloration are going to be bad. same prinseble can be used that the dogs that represend the dog you inbreed of arend worth feeding!!.
ofcours we are looking for a compleat pakage!!!!. It aint as ez as it sounds..
But when you are lucky to locate and ore breed of a tightbred pure bred dog that is pre potend as wel. it wil be a lot ezer. to use these tools in your breedings.

Last but not least IF you are looking for a bullyson stud and you have the chooice between 2 ecseptional animals same quality in every way. but one hase bullyson looks and coloration and the other is a fawn white dog that hase a diferend coloration witch dog would you choose to breed to????/ I know i would pick that black demon that represends and looks like old bully as wel!!!.

 

The world of game dogs is FULL of speculations and fake pedegrees!!!. reading dogs insted of papers will give and learn you more about genetics then anything els specialy when breeding. as for no prove, there is no prove he is from bullyson blood as wel. and Alligator was a hell of a lot diferend then old Bullyson was. as bully was a barn stormer and alligator a game dog.

 

We have a young male with some of that midnight blood in him. He just started school but, he started on the right foot.
