I have a male that's 35lbs, but he's not low to the ground...at least I don't consider him to be. He's maybe 17-19" give or take (never measured him, just guessing).

And my pup that is about 20lbs is 16" at almost six months.

I don't like dogs that are too short.

Not true most like smaller dogs they are easey to handle take less feed and are are easer to care take all in all. BUT a good dog is a good dog no matter if he is 25lbs or 55lbs, One of the fastest dogs i ever seen was 51lbs and belive me he was a blurr and was very athletic and he bit like a vise. size is just that big or small a good dog is a good dog. I agree with that. I like small dogs because they are easier to handle, cost less to feed, and usually in my experience (could be wrong just in my experience) are quicker to mature. They also don't attract as much attention as some massive looking dog lol:D

"Great' dog eh?. Ok if you say so....

Again, without going into depth..JBone used to post his dogs up for stud/sale, and then post under AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT HANDLES replying to his own posts..This dude is a joke..I could go on ALL DAY about this guy, but like I said earlier he isnt here to defend himself, so I wont..

To those who think he has "great" dogs or are thinking about getting pups/dogs from him..Good luck, and may god bless you..

  14. I had 2 off of Chubby & Runt from when Mike/James Sorrels owned them. They were the best dogs JB owned IMO, but he is not looking or breeding for game standards. Its all an ego thing for that guy.

Anyways my Female was 23lbs and my male was 31lbs. I got rid of both of them once JB bought Chubby and Runt. No one wants to be associated with someone who dose as much dammage to the reputation of the breed as that guy.

He once called Frisco Redboy Junk dogs on his site, yet how many reputable dogs of his do you see in the SDJ? He buys fake champs for high dollar to try and make his name so he can peddle the shit out of his dogs.

Buying dogs from people like JB just puts another stain on the already tainted reputation of the APBT. He is bad for the breed with out a doubt!!!

As performance said, you can get small and large pups out of any breeding within a range. . . But, some bloodlines or combination's thereof will throw a smaller dog more often.

For example though, this little bitch weighed 28lbs last time I weighed her. She is a little over a year.

The same litter gave me this one 45lbs

And, even more extreme is this male pup from the same litter 58lbs.

To be fair though, he is fixed and a little fat in my opinion.
