agreed, coyotes seem to be natural ear suckers lol, and ive had some dogs ears split all to hell, so i decided with Riot i was gonna go real short, and its done a ton of good this winter. hes somewhere between short, and a battle crop.

i take my dogs ( and they ALL have cropped ears except for my newest pup) out in the woods and muck and water and swamp nastiness and have never had a problem with debris or infections or anything. Less to get damaged when I can make it down south to go hunting so I have always cut my dogs ears. and on my working dogs I always will.

Woody that really is a very nice crop. I'm not a fan of them personally but I can definitely appreciate when its done right and fits the dog.

The only way i'll crop another dogs ears is if they have bat ears. i hate bat ears, so i'd have to cut them off. As for the ears getting chewed up, id rather have a ear torn to shreds, over having a dogs ear canal punctured and severe damage to the side of the head. With that said, natural folding ears are more practical, especially if the dog gets into a scuffle or accident. JMO

I need help with my pitbulls right ear, I've taken him to the vet and they had to put him to sleep to do a deep cleaning.. The vet checked for infection and there was none, he checked for mites nothing either.. He told me to clean his ear every other day with wax-o-sol and quadritop ointment which only makes the black stuff in his ear loose and when he shakes his head black stuff starts to fly out but he still has some in his ear and you can tell hes in pain because his ears are cropped short and he keeps that one ear down. He's always rubbing his head against the carpet and always itches. He has no flees or ticks, hes not an outside dog.. The vet did mention that he has a yeast infection because his nail bed has a brown dirt look. Can anyone help me solve the problem?? In the beginning it was both ears but now its just his right ear and i feel really bad seeing him in pain. The vet tells me to just continue to use the drops/ointment but its obviously not working. When u move his ear u can hear the wax-o-sol swishing back and fourth and that wet noise is still there even after a week of not using the drops or ointment.. Please help! :(:(

must be a blue dog thing cause you don't see it much on pits the more i look, woodyD your male has a nice crop!

unless the ears torn, or its a show dog don't really see it as necessary, but don't get me wrong some times i wounder what my dogs would look like without ears, but, they have to be hidden, not shown. where i live anyway:rolleyes:

  13. You actually enjoy it when these poor animals have had their ears sliced off? You sick sick cunt.

Here's the crop I had done on one of my dog's, the only reason it was done was because the top of her right ear was deformed and kept getting infections, personally I prefer the natural ears!

    you're acting way too dramatic.
I know a Dogo Argentino pup being cropped... They use anesthetics and they don't feel a thing. When they were out of surgery they started playing like wild beasts within the hour. You're making a bigger deal out of it than the dogs do themselves.

As a guy I have more problems with people neutering a male dog just because he might be calmer, as opposed to cropping a dog while under anesthetics for hunting purposes. Your cursing and statements don't impress anyone. Just shows us you're new. Just waiting for you to say hunting is for sick cunts, culling is for sick cunts, and neutering is perfectly acceptable btw since you seem to be a sheep in the crowd.

jospeh.jpg jozek.jpg I am very happy with this guys ears. He was about 9 months in those pictures. Hes almost 3 now and his head grew into them ears really good. I wouldnt crop every dogs ears, I certainly love them little rose ears on a fine apbt.

if i am going to have it done i personally prefer a short crop or in some cases even as short as woody's hound they look really good on him i guess it kind of depends on the head size of your dogs if you know or think they are going to have a bigger head a lil longer crop will look better on a dog with a lil larger head size but a small headed dog with a show cut just doesn't seem to look right but personally i prefer natural over all
