El negro or Elmo

I want some opinons on which line of dogs to go with kinda new to the game bred dogs but i have done alot of homework on them and I know TG puts some good dogs on the ground but i cant decide El negro or Elmo

 

Hey hardmouth . I won't say i know everything but as far as I'm concerned I would def go with elmo . This way you have a better chance of gettin a good dog. Although i have heard that frisco is a not so great dog! In my opinion that would be the better way to go. I my self like Dynamite myself!

I would say EL NEGRO cause you got some goog ELI on top and the rest speak for themseleves

 

i personally wouldn't shake a stick at any dog on TG's yard. got my own reasons for this and it isn't because his dogs are crap. IF, IF i were to acquire a dog from him it would be from El Negro.

i see you live in the fort eh? i used to live in Oakland Park. anyhow, there are some really good eli breeders in florida. all of my eli dogs have come out of florida, and for good damn reason. best of luck to you.

 

I agree, just need to know where to look. Like I've told others before, come out to the shows and meet people and their dogs in person, rather than over the internet.

 

Frenchie... if you do not consider one of the greatest breeders and dogmen of all time worthy of buying a pup from, tell us who YOU would recommend as being worthy of getting a dog off of.

Crystal- Do you homework - TG is as good as they get, with dogs as good as they get, with an amazing breeding record in regards to production. If I was to bad-mouth a topnotch dogman on a public forum, I would definitely leave a laundry list of reasons why. Otherwise I would just be making a fool of myself.

 

I never bad mouthed TG or his dogs. I just suggested actually meeting people and the dogs they have or have produced rather than go by what people tell him to get on the internet, maybe I just worded it wrong...although it made sense to me.

ETA: Another advantage to meeting someone in person is that he is new to these dogs and it would be beneficial to him to have a mentor that is also nearby.

 

A very close friend of mine has one up here off of Elmo and his sister Lee Ling II that came from TG's yard and she's the real deal...period! The experience she had with TG wasn't great, but she did get a bulldog!

I also had a friend that got an El Negro pup from TG and the little guy had an unfortunate accident at a very young age, but showed tremendous heart for a little pup!

 

I would have to agree that TG is the real deal BUT he does keep alot of litters on the ground at one time. I've heard the El Negro dogs are hellfire. French, there ARE some damn good Eli dogs out here...ya know! They are hard to get your hands on not knowing anyone though. We've got some good ones coming very shortly.

 

Elmo is R.I.P so I would go with CH El Negro or even Clyde!

thanks for your opinons and i know elmo is r.i.p but the litter that TG has is a son off of elmo named otto i looked for him under elmos offspring but i couldnt find him so i have no idea if produces good dogs and for the guys who said there is good eli blood in florida could you point me in the direction to some good breeders again thanks for your time

 

Florida has always been known for bolio (boyles) dogs.

call Tom, he'll direct you to what you're specifically looking for and you'll have an Eli dog from where Chinaman was for his later years and the great Frisco dog.

Florida is known for alot more than Boyles, I know them boys and they put out some tuff ones But you better watch out for the eli dogs coming out of the sunshine state Where do you think all them Happyjack, cowboy and bullyson dogs made a name for them self. YIS J

 

I didnt say what they werent known for, they have always had great boyles dogs there and thats what I said. I was speaking about someone here that thinks they are in the know, when they really dont know crap, directing him to junk and listening to them when they could have had a dog from Tom.

I never said I was "in the know" and I never said don't get the dog from TG. I said to get out and meet people and agreed there are good dogs in Florida, I don't see how the two equate.
The OP has been asking about various dogs/kennels for sometime...obviously undecided on what he wants. In the end it'll be his dog, so why shouldn't he do his own research until he finds the one for him?

 

both are really good if you´re interested in Elmo stuff I´m sure that Tom had some prospects and dogs off him there I purchase one off Dyno and his a hell of dog.

we have great boyles dogs so do others Back to the OP I would not give it a second thought and Buy a dog from T.G in a newyork second. But I would tell him Just what I was after and would wait untill he thought he had what I wanted. Tom Is a breeder and a fine one at that He will know just what you need and will do you right Just be honest with him and your self and dont rush things let him know you will wait for the pup you want. And I would not worrie about what anyone thought about your pups ped dont even tell anyone untill he is proven him self. And Chinaman dogs are very fine dogs(even frisco) when you breed a lot of dogs and let the public get them not all seen will be great dogs a lot of people getting them dogs are doing so only for paper and dont really know what they are doing so you will get more culls.
