    Great read..
Specialy the last part i find verry intresting,
Damn you have me starting a new sentance over n over agean! lol
The last sentance only i see diffrent.let me put it like this.
The REAL DogMen out there still remember/kno what a pitbull realy is. and kno its a breed.
The majority out there just dont kno what the breed realy stands for. and cant take the responsibility to keep these type
of dogs in the first place.
In that case they end up with staffs, generations of generations of colour, name, title breeding.
After a couple of gen's someone comes along and thinks hmmm im feeling the history etc etc let me try this dog.. its bred
    propper.
But do the the fact spoken earlier. it acts like a staff.
In the mean time you have to blow of a steam every couple of hours a thread like this comes by..lol

    Cheers

nicely put but "we" must work toward this goal with what we have left instead or talking this over and over. box matches are illegal but get the best out of your stock somehow. I hunt the shit out of my staffords big or small, they dont show their true colors, they dont stay. that's the best I can do. with all this bsl and snitches around one has to be real careful nowadays even if you dont roll your hounds. jail isnt a place i'd like to spend time in. with this said, I still portray and I'm proud of the staffords gladiator heritage and past, this I'm not afraid of sharing, I dont care who it is.

I have made a lot of enemies in some years defending the stafford's heritage and questioning why breed, other than just to win ribbons, which your dog could give a tossed turd about.
people dont want to listen, and they rather breed the worst staffords outhere.
the day I can't do with my stafford what I do today, it 'll be the day I stop breeding and keeping them. people cant get throught their thick skull, staffords arent lapdogs or show muppets.

the best approach is to be honest with yourself about the dogs you're feeding. keep only the good ones for your breeding but also place good dogs with people you trust.

    Why thank you:rolleyes:

No seriously credit goes to the guy who let me use his dog and the hard work he puts into his dogs just for the record I told him that yesterday and he was happy but a man who dont blow his own trumpet and a gentleman and sonny was looking good and thanks to him and M for the pup;)

the trouble is with the vast amount of Stafford's bred today is there bred for dogs that haven't seen any work. there bred purely for fancy names that's 20 year + back in their peds!
now there is some good examples out there for sure and people should strive to find the best stud they can and put him to the best tried and tested female they have. if they can't do that don't breed. try and buy a pup from a breeding that parents show the true qualities a working Stafford.
i have saw many advertisements in recant years for pups that are from dogs with the names psycho,stockades/dublin red this and that. now no doubt there's some good working stock down from psycho and the dublin red and the beanie stock comes to mind but when i see stockade stock i allways wince as that stuff that im aware of is purely bred for their peds and you will be hard pushed to find any tested stock in the first 3 generations of the peds of the dogs that you see so much. if i was looking at getting into Stafford's the stockade route would be the last on my list.
the saying goes "a good dog is were you find them" now if you look hard enough and strive to put in the work im sure you could get a few useful dogs about but dig deep and do your homework first. establish good foundations and build on that.
the Stafford is a great breed, just has lost its vocation in recant years it seems.
my two pence werth and last thing ill say.

    keep the faith;)

Bendover you are right about fancy peds and my latest addition fits your criteria and hats off to the lad as he has given most away not many like that these days to many people interested in the ££££.

Not many that would tell you if your not happy I will have the dog back either.

as for stockade are we talking about the actual stockade dogs themselves or stuff from it?? as i thought they were working dogs from that line.

Ps are you the guy that makes the porn movies :)
