what kind of music do you all listen to?

George Jones was Country when Country wasnt cool.It was always cool to me because I grew up listening to it.lol

 

Here is something about George Strait some may not know.He is younger but his stuff is old school .Love it.Over his 33-year recording career, Strait has had 60 number one hits, more than any other performer in history. That's combining the number of songs that have topped the Billboard chart (44) with the number that have topped the Mediabase chart (16)

I been bumpin this kat in the car lately. Most of the rap coming out these days is garbage but this guy has a slew of cyphers.

 

For past 30 years I listened to country music on BBC radio 2 every Thursday at 8pm, Hank, Willie, Waylon, Tom T Hall, George Jones right through to Lyall Lovett, Alison Krauss and Steve Earl.. Love it!

 

Yup, great way to learn directly from the experts!

I don't listen to much new rap seriously(they'e gay or pussies)but I am a fan of this kid for some reason.

I personally don't fuck with Kendrick or gambino but they get brought up a lot as serious rappers. I don't believe in "self censoring" like they expect ppl my color to do to their shitty ass music. Rather listen to Kodak.

 

Before this gets turned into the other thread, all I mean is I believe intent matters and there's a difference in saying a word and using a word. In the context of a song, quote, story, book, title, name, it's saying it. Using it out of hate and malice is using it. For grown adults to try to tell other grown adults who buy their music they can't quote them without censoring the quote is stupid as fuck to me.

Thats all I meant.
