I recenty built my own smoker and decided to make my own dog treats when I cook for the family. I have been smoking chicken feet and beef back ribs for my dogs and they love em. I let the feet and ribs brine in Wosterchester and Sea Salt over night and them smoke them.

  2. And then you peel the meat off? Smoking bones make them brittle and more likely to cause internal damage to the dog's stomach and GI tract.

Yea I would stop smoking any bones.. you are asking for perforated organs by smoking bones.

They would enjoy those treats all the same Raw. I stay away from any sauces with my dogs as it has a tendency to give them the runs.

I feed raw chicken feet. They go bad really quick if they stay in the fridge so I feed them frozen footsicles. lol. The dogs love them.

Thanks for the advise, I never considered a punctured GI tact due to eating bones. Moving forward I will stick with the chicken feet and do away with the ribs.

  14. no problem feeding bones as long as they are raw, cooking makes them brittle and dangerous for dogs

^Ditto. Our dogs eat bones every single day, just not cooked ones.
