Why Not Buy a Choke Lead?

Look i thought it was a funny post your the one acting like a know it all there are plenty of folks on here that have a wealth of knowledge to be offered to you and to i and the rest of the users of this board get off your fucking high horse take a chill pill and relax some folks on here can't have a laugh everything has to be so damn serious so quit bitching about know it alls and learn a lil something from some of these know it alls

 

Not going to go on about this anymore but if a man has a different opinion than you then he should point out his opinion & in doing so you should have a good conversation on the forum with him even if you dont agree but for a man to come on & try to poke fun at you well thats a different thing altogether .

 

well if you cannot take a joke over the internet i damn sure would hate to see how you would react in every day life i mean im not trying to turn this into an arguement but damn it is like you said a forum where people are silly sometimes and have the right to express there feelings anyway they want really as long as it is within the forum rules that is im not an asshole or anything i just got a laugh out of it no big deal man not trying to offend anyone unless they need to be put in there place which wasn't the case here

 

I dont think there is anything wrong with a choke chain. I personally have one on my dog with her tags its a german choker has double threads
so it functions a lil difrent than traditional. it seems to not choke too qwick unless pulled firmly. Any choker is great for training and its easy to see why some just stay with it and dont use nothing else. I have two diffrent kinds of chokers german and standard. I also have a nice leather harness and collars nylon w plastic clips and leather one reg belt buckle style. I know of people who use just leather lead and leather collar. For the most I see chokers on a lot of dogs with dog tags at one end. Smaller breeds usually have collar nylon or leather. Their is also at the show I see a real thin shiny choker they look really nice but scary because they are too thin maybe could cut or something. Either way different strokes for different folks. the only reason not to buy a choker is would be doe to focusing too much on the bad things that can happen over the benefits
its all just a choice owners make thats all. Come on now shouldn't every dog owner be able to use what he or she wants and it just be respected.

 

I had a dog about 8 years ago that broke one into about 5 peices and attacked another dog. I was walking her on some bike trails and some guy had a retreiver running lose that ran up on me and the dog reacted. after i broke em up they went the other way and when they came back [they were walking her while on bikes] they passed us by again this time their dog on a leashe and my dog some how broke the choke chain, ran off and attacked the dog while it was leashed lol that was the last time i used one of those.

those little links arent strong enough and all of them arent welded together. so if the dog is goin nuts and pulling, the little links might open up or break.

You can respect whoever you want but with this breed of dog I aint gonna respect no one stupid enough to use a collar with a plastc clip.

well not only that but i mean it is a law it most places an of course our breed is dog aggressive so of course the responsible owners are going to do what is needed

 

i use a prong on both my dogs whoever said they let there dog work whenever is a moron......your dog needs to work when you say so on command.....your an idiot if you let your DOG pull you up and down the street.....prong collars i have found to be twice as affective on our type of dogs will just choke themselves to the point they collapse, and some of you honestly prove how stupid you are your dog broke a choker venom i mean honestly then you were obviously at fault not the collar next time get a stronger collar......

 

Some of us on here bring our dogs up as pets you know .

 

and you owe it to your pet to keep him safe and secure. i dont care how well trained your dog is, the motherfuckers dog down the street might feel like jumping the fence one day and try to have a go.

 

and trying to train a bulldog to work on command is kind of a double standard. You're telling a dog bred for performance, something that's ingrained in its DNA, that he's only allowed to do what he was genetically programmed to do when YOU want it to. IMHO, easier to get a different dog.

 

the majority of working dogs are still brought up as pets and have a job to do so don't even start with that shit a working dog can be your best friend as well plain and simple learn to be a responsible owner or get rid of the breed b4 something bad happens
