    Bud, u should know theres no way to tell what percent a breeding will throw. It all depends on the bloodline,the individual dogs and the man behind them.

    No offense I would like for you to know that nobody is proven all bulldog at 16 months. They may be acting good and have proven something unofficial but I hope they aren't being showed yet. They still haven't matured.

    Nobody? Some dogs mature faster than others and more than a few dogs have shown what they were about before 2yrs old. There is no magic number.

  16. It can be done and it works but the % not as high as linebreeding through more distance relatives, half brother/sister works but it is a personal preference. Would I do this, no but have people done and been successful with it yes. Inbreedings like this work but father daughters work better, uncle niece work better, these two I think throw the highest percentages in our dogs. I would breed to best stud possible for that line instead of settling on a half brother, if he was ch or something or you know the dog personally, try it but in the end it is all a craps shoot.

    Me and a buddy are splitting a litter of pups that are 75% Moodys Scar we bred this dog to her littermate brother
    ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [153752] :: LONGO'S JACKIE BLACK
    even though the mom and dad are 75% Scar blood the pups will also be 75%.
    a breeding like this is not made to produce, but to make producers.

  19. I can see in certain situations where the half bro/sis would work but this is against everything I have understood about these dogs in terms of inbreeding. I can see why it would work but it would have to be the right lines that could bring something to the table for both parties. The animal that is shared by both would have to be a very impressive animal to breed to their half bro/sis. But at the end of the day it doesn't matter if you inbreeding or not, make sure the male who is suppose to be because if this is done on pedigree alone, I can't see it being a good deal for anyone. Maybe I am wrong but the dogs that have been done like this are not something I would do once because I know the % can be much better in other styles of breeding. If I didn't have a choice, yes, if there was an animal that couldn't be replaced and that was the reason. I was only taught that anything remotely similar with bro / sis is a last resort in breeding.

    Let's say u did make the breeding, do u think it could be successful in the right hands??.....the sire is no slouch!....I can't go on past Breedings because pups are still young but I Justed wanted to kno could it be successful because I too was told a Inbred brother and sister breeding would through low % hounds but I never Asked about half-brothers and sisters
