game birds

HIYA,I dont keep any birds but love em!I remember reading FB kept roundheads(Will Allen strain) i belive?Did he have these when he was raided and were they confiscated?were they aggrestrion tested to be re-homed?lol

 

Those red badboys wouldnt last five minutes at my place theyd be necked and skun withing minutes, those neck hackles would make some high quality trout flies for me.

 

Hows about a Marsh Butcher or a nice USA Roundhead?

I dont understand the different lines of Game birds, are they like bulldogs and have different styles and characteristics?

 

Yes Sampson!They have different styes some are body punchers and some go to the head.There are gaff fowl and Naked heeled birds.All the fowl besides the first ones are U.S/EU fowl they where bred for the gaff and are body punchers.Then we have the Spanish,Jap's,Cuban and the King the Azil,these birds are naked heel fowl and shoot for the head.Just like our dogs the US fowl are blended from the Irish,English,Spanish and the Azil which was used to ad bottom and body.You have power and speed lines, the speed are made up from the Spanish/Azil blend, power from the Irish,English and the Azil.

 

There's a style birds use called 'shuffling'.A side-step.Shufflers. Yes,there are MAN-BITERS to! Training regimes,special diets,keeps.Some owners even Carbo-load their birds before a big match!

 

very interesting, my father probably knows more about game birds since he use to be a fan of them back in his day. Nice lookers in here though.

Some nice pics of birds there,i never got into them but a good friend of mine had some sort of thai bird that was a blondy yellowy colour all over. They were a nightmare to handle though

these are not my birds but just came from my photo bucket. And these are the type that i keep. Their are many type of birds.

 

different blood have different traits and any blood can be good. they are very similar to game dogs. just that you can get aces faster cause its easier to breed. curs will be cull just like game-dogs.

 

P1tbull which strain of Azil do you keep?I have some Amir Khans and the Sonatal strain.The Amir Khans look very much like the first bird shown.Pit+Patts there also the wheelers that run in circles then stop an fire.

 

So this is a dumb ? but do birds go by weight or are there rules on how to find a match for birds??? (pre 76)

well i dont know about like azil stains or amir khans and that stuff. Its just thai chicken to me. If they good then i keep. They lock there neck and turn that kind of stuff.

yes they go by weight and height. and yes there are rules. The chicken can run away,turn ,jump out the ring, whatever its not a lost. A lost is when it crys and run, die, and there is a thing where they test the scratch, if they dont go then they lose too. Go by rounds though thats the only different.

 

oh yea some people use blades but some dont (i dont). its a matter of gameness and skill. we even use tape to tape or cut the spars so it wont pope the others eye out or cut the others head. (knock outs are better to see than two kicks with blade and their died)

 

Don't know anything at all about birds, but these are some fine looking animals!
