slat or carpet mills in Australia

Any one in oz use these or has any experience with them...ever tried to build one or buy one? pm me for a chat.

ive never owned either but i read that people say slat mill is prob better for speed and wind and a carpet mill is prob better for building up ur dogs muscle and strength .depends on what ur goal is at that point. i would never even attempt to build it myself , ive seen some pretty damn good ones online for about 400usd . for the amount of time it would take me to build it and then the parts , i think id be better off buying one lol thats just me though lol

you can still buy them, just need to know were...i think B..Boy's made a few
but is proberly easier for you to ship one over.

yep, they were a little ruff to say the least, but they got the job done for alot of people at the time.
i prefure to make my own

 

there is a picture of one of their female on a mill.. dark coated bitch.

so i guess thats why they showed the mill on the picture.. cos they make them and sell them. imagine my patterdale on the mill lol

 

alot of good dogs were conditioned on thier mills back then.
i got some photo's of some of our best using those old mills

link isnt working, if i remember right they onsell the rpmillmaker mills at an inflated price. correct me as i might be wrong but i think i stumbled on that site a while back.

 

About 400% mark up is what I estimated.:eek:

If your stuck in a pickle, plenty of greyhound machines about, just freewheel them.

 

ausapbt's build is pretty bloody good!, not bad at all for a first build.

thanks mate, might be doing a collapsible one for a friend with piano hinges and nylon belt attached to the slats, will let use all know if we go ahead with it how it comes along..

they arnt ideal but you can get dud ones that dont work very cheap, just take off and discard the motor, most are slightly inclined so you need to put blocks on the back to level it out they have pvc belt tread. if you freewheel them they are ok. but thats all just ok. you can mod them though easy enough and atleast you have a basic.

 

thanks, i see what you mean now, by the time you stuff around easier to buy a proper mill

 

abit of topic but is there alot of pits in oz? Only ask as my rich aunt will be moving to oz. House shes looking at has a granny home which has 4 rooms, tenis courts and a massive swimming pool im deffiantly going out for a month soon.
