greyhounds build looks just like a cheetah to me. and we all know they spring then stop. plus look how small their heads look. looks like a grown dog with a puppy head attached. i dont like it at all. im sure those dogs athletic ability is unbelievable tho. still im gonna stick to what i have got

for sure i like the dogs but im not going to go out and get one id rather own an apbt or a bulldogge type dog

 

ive seen plenty of these dogs.Theyd run themselves to death.absolute gymnasts.They can be very accident prone on account of their incredible drive.Its a fairly popular cross in ireland for larger game.If i was breeding one ,id be very careful with the choice of greyhound parent(temperment wise)or even use a very houndy lurcher on to a pit.Back in the 1800s lord orford crossed bulldog(which looked like pits then) with greyhounds to create his ultimate coursing machine"czarina" undefeated in 49 courses.Probably she had the bulldog drive+ stamina and the greyhounds speed.I keep greyhounds and pits, pit crosses..a greyhound couldnt come near a pitbull for wind.They are sprinters with most races lasting less than 30 seconds

 

greyhounds have terrible wind the bull-terrier is added to the grey to increase ITs stamina amongst other things

 

Theres a man in cali who hunts hogs and yotes, he also breeds dogos and pat terriers. In some of his hunts hes got a pit/greyhound mix, gorgeous dog.

 

People who do lure coursing or above ground small game hunting - foxes, rabbits, etc. often mix greyhounds and APBT (or other bully breeds) - they are called bull lurchers. A lurcher is the term for a working greyhound or whippet cross - usually with some dog breed from the terrier group. There are many different types of lurchers, but if you google bull lurcher or bull x lurcher you will find lots about this cross.

Not my thing, but I hear from a lot of sighthound people that they love the cross.

 

Not to offend, but in my opinion those dogs are ass ugly. They look like their body grew but they're heads decided to stay puppy sized.

 

ive just pruchased a working dog hes 1/2 greyhound 1/4 deer hound 1/4 ptbl...and what a pup best temperment...but as first dog any tips???

A Bullcross (pitxgreyhound) is a very good tool, super fast and very explosive i have two and even though they can be more fun at times than my bulldogs they dont have the stamima to finish the job there are some that can but many dont, once sliped from a distance the dog might be running flatout for maybe 2-3 mintutes and when he gets there 10 mins later the dog is fucked and thats when you find out weather you have a dog thats worth feeding or not.
The chase is always a good rush!
