Lee's Ch. Reno, Santa's Gr. Ch. Mongoose, Gr. Ch. Barracuda, and the list of possible "best" pit dogs ever goes on, and on, and on. It is impossible to say who was truly the absolute greatest of all time...really just depends on your preference. Every dog has it's day. Then there are those that wish to be out of the lime light deep in the woods that many will never know about. Then there are females that could be put at the top of the list, and compete with some of the finest bulldogs that man has to offer such as Ablizins Ch Bad Rosemary, Evolution kennel's Ch. Hannah, Ch. Pool Hall Red, Dbl Gr Ch Tornado, Ch Bolero, and again the list goes on, and on. Truly impossible to say which was/is the very best pit dog ever.

eh, i just dont see how people can say pincher this was the beginning of the dog game here pretty much and not many folks had any lines established anyway so he had no competition IMO and yes he was a big ass bulldog but to win 24 still says something but greatest i seriously doubt that he was just the start of the game that went on to make better dogs im sure he wouldnt have lasted to damn long in the 70's into good competition i bet he would have been curred out Just my opinion and they are like assholes so take it for what its worth

colbys pincher was the start of the game????......oh sorry , i forgot, history began in america lol,...where the core of the game was proven!.lol.....all those imported (cow patch?) dogs were all of uncertain ancestery, scatterbred, and primitive. bred by simple imigrants with no knowledge or understanding of game dogs before the turn of the last century......wait i think i hear something.....the flapping of white coats, coming to take me away...lol:D:):o:confused::mad:;)

  9. let me guess.......no POPO or animal nazi league.....no TV or www. Just people who spend lifetimes with animals, with expert husbandry knowledge of game dogs and foul. Police referees, high stakes with celebrity to boot. Matching dogs from coast to coast and shore to shore........

Fast forward to the 70's with flares, flower power and trips and weed. Definitely the core..........apple core !

The hell are you talkin bout? Colby's Pinscher wasn't too damn big to be a bulldog. His matchweight was in the low to mid 50s. There are plenty of conditioned bulldogs at 50#. Please don't talk shit about one of the dogs that J.P. Colby considered to be one of his best dog. I guarantee you that Pinscher will destroy everything you have on your yard.

Back in the day, they bred best to best and hoped for the best. Still, a dog that can hold its own against 24 dogs is still quite impressive and I would've betted money on Pinscher even against dogs in the 70s. In terms of greatest pit dog ever, many would say Pinscher holds this solely based on the number of wins. Though personally, I believe Bobtail Bob was the better of the two dogs on colby's yard. Funny how Bobtail isn't as famous as the Pinscher dog. The dog amassed a record of 21xw and many said had more ability.

Agame, ....its all cool bro,....... remember opinions are like assholes,...and you know the rest lol
colbys pincher was named after a famous fighting dog from england.........his breeding and ancestry were the continuation of a game , not the beginning, his birth place , and time in history are of little consequence ,unless you believe gameness has evolved to a greater level today than before.....or quantity rules over quality? remember, you need a yard full of dogs to get play the crap shoot!......5oo dogs to a yard should do it.(only joking folks)

  14. colby was my kinda guy........the difference between us is that i prefer those old time dogs. I wouldn't touch a colby dog now....and im guessin old JP wouldn't use them either, lol!

ps i was joking about size!

yes i suppose u are right my friend i should have said the continuation LOL anyway we got our points across no worries

  16. Personal favourite DUGAN'S PAT. Would scratch to a dead dog AND tear its carcass apart. That is a rare quality in a pitdog, most will stop when the other quit after a hard fight.

enjoy the back and forth about pincher... good stuff...

However, be a bit more game when you post and stand behind it instead of saying the ole "opinions are like asshole... stuff"

    Dugan's Pat VS Mcdermott's Mack

" Bauldauf called Pat off to get a turn when Mack was lying helpless on the ground, and Pat scratched fast. He called Pat off again and Mack was practically dead. In this fight I saw Pat do something that I have never seen a dog do to another. After Mack was almost dead and lying helpless on the floor, Pat crossed over and took a big mouthful of Mack. He then put his feet on Mack to give him leverage, and tried to tear Mack to pieces, just as if he was tearing a piece of beef off a carcass. "

You might also like Pit General, GR CH Art, GR CH Norrod's KoKo and Alvin the Dog, all these dogs did the same thing to a dog, all were cannibalistic.
