Please Help Identify Breed

I was wondering if someone could identify what possible breeds might be in my dog. I think he has some APBT in him but I cannot be sure. He was rescued from a shelter and I have no clue as to what his parents were. as of today, he is 5 months and 6 days old and 51 pounds. I wanted to know if anybody knows what kind of pit he might have in him and approximately how big he will get.

 

No APBT in it at all. Dont see anything in him that would call him a APBT.
would any of you guys agree he is one??

 

Any ideas as to what he does have in him?

definatly some begale, possibly begale/bulldog?

i ve seen a beagle/yellow lab cross that looked just like that. and your right Rick, beagles are the skanks of the dog world

 

Be careful with that beagle cross they have been known to hit well over 100 pounds! :eek:

 

Whatever others opinions might be as to what breed he may be, you liked him and gave him a home. For that you should be rewarded. Just love and care for him the best way you can and I'm sure he will thank you for it.

and he seems to be a lil special the way he stares at that cabinet

 

I'm sure if you look in the gallery you will see dogs that look like him that are claimed to be APBT's. The problem is, looks "can" be deceiving. Without a proper ped, you will never know.

 

Now that I've looked at some beagles with his coloring, I'm fairly sure he is beagle/pit mix. That would explain his eyes, ears, and mouth. If you saw a good picture of him panting, you'd see what I mean. He also has (in my opinion) very pit-like behavior. I'll try to get a video and some better pictures showing his mouth.

 

no!!! no pit like in any way okay. Why is it so important to people to have the pit in the names. WHY WHY WHY. Why is it never a beagle mix or lab mix or dane mix its always pit-mix. Why do people always have the pit involve when its not one. These kinds of dogs are the ones giving APBT bad names when there not even one. Did you rescue this dog because its a pit-like?

 

that last pic even looks almost basset. yep basset/beagle/lab for sure

 

I just dont see the basset how could a bulldog/basset/beagle mix be 51lbs at 5mnths

unless it was a bully

 

Id say beagle mix with maybe abit of bulldog in there

 

basset hound are HUGE! what happened to a "new day"? lol. i see no pit in that dog what so ever!
