Zebo dogs

That's funny!!! Do you know what medications were around in the late 70's for heart worms... i'm sure it wasnt as easy as it is today to treat heart worms. Not to mention, once a dog has heart worms, they need surgery to remove them. With that said, he may not have loved him enough to prevent the heartworms, but he loved Vindi enough to find out what killed him after his death. JMO

 

What I find humorous is that folks down ol' Lonzo, but it all goes back to Lonzo stuff. Luniewski, Thunder Kennels, Stewart & even the McGee & Toby stuff (depending of course which account of Zebo's ped you believe) all go back to Lonzo blood.

As for %s, every line throws good & bad. I have heard of some who have little success with the Zebo line. I have heard of others who do well with it. If there were an all good line, we'd all be running it. But I have found that those who know how to breed the Zebo blood properly & have the patience to wait on the dogs to mature fully have fair to good success with them. Of course not every dog will turn out, but those who know how to deal witht he line correctly can get some real nice ones out of it.

Furthermore, not only is it the line but what also comes into play is who is owning, feeding, conditioning & handling these dogs. Sometimes a good dog can be ruined by a foolish owner or handler.

Now the *modern* Lonzo stuff I would advise anyone today to be careful where you get it from. There is a modern Lonzo strain out there today bred only for looks & a pretty pedigree. Stay away from that stuff, as that's the stuff that is the most likely to disappoint you.

Then there is an older Lonzo strain still bred to work. If you want a working dog, this is the strain to pick. You can tell the difference between the two by:

- Looking at them. The "modern" dogs are bred for a short, stocky look with a large head, puggy muzzle & "gator" mouth, while the working strain still look like Zebo & Vindy (tall, rangy & correctly built).

- Looking at their ped. A "modern" Lonzo dog usually doesn't have any working ancestors up close in the ped, while dogs from the working strain usually do.

I've seen many Zebo dogs over the years. Dilly 2xw was a good one.
But he was only part Zebo.
I think why Dilly was different then most was the Eli Jr. bred into his line.
Sure did nick.
Being where I live, I think I saw more then most people have from Zebo, the good, the bad and the ugly.........

 

Does any one know where u can find cuevas toro 1xw. Or the ch.boudreaux charlie 3xw strain of dogs at!!!!!!!!

 

i have a 4 month old zebo crossed with gator how do you guys think she will turn out i only been into this 2yrs now so please let me know

zebo never really produced any good percetage hounds. It was said that his brother vidicator was the better dog but we will never know for sure. but if i was to cross some lonzo blood i would cry crossing it to some chinaman or rbj stock. i say this because good stock bred to good stock produces good stock

i never said that zebo didnt produce any good hounds, but what i said was that he didnt have a high percentage of good hounds produces. ok well ask yourself, how is the lonzo blood doing in today's world compared to the other popular lines ... my point

Zebo produced good box hounds and he produced dogs that can produce!!...he didnt have a alot of offspring so I don't kno wat u are talking about when u say %!...zebo blood is alive and well at this present time!...Before u post make sure u kno wat u are saying because alot of bs is spilling out of ur mouth right now!

If a lonzo/Zebo dog is winning anything now adays it's definitely crossed up.

 

Lonzo dogs and Zebo dogs are different.. Lonzo bred Vindy and Rose dogs not Zebo dogs

 

I dont know why people keep calling them zebo dogs just cause they brothers.like a bullyson dog aint a eli jr dog
