nice looking pup but damn them oriental fowl are ugly.

  5. haha, they're in the teen stage.. losing all the fuzz, getting naked, and growing their adult feathers all at once.

the roosters will be beautiful at about 14 months. i use to have some too i understand that is the "ugly" stage!

  7. haha yep. what line(s) did you raise? Mine are Thai/Brazilian/Pama mix, but the grey/pumpkin is from a Gold/blue thai line, not the same parents as the "doo" chickens.

the fowl are tolerable of each other? if it seems like i stupid question, sorry, but i know NOTHING about gamefowl. oh yeah, the dog looks great man

  9. when they start turning pretty it is usually time to seperate them. I got about another 2 months before the 2 Roo's start causing trouble with each other. they already play-dance like dogs play-fight.. but it never gets too serious cause the younger/smaller one always backs down.

they will reach that certain age when something in them will just click.. some reach it faster than others. similar to any game-bred animal.

i wasnt sure how that works since they are a primitive animal compared to our dogs...who unlike the birds, have brains larger than a pea :Dlol

ill give you a pair of quail size yard hatch when i can catch em up. If not, you got some of the best around in your own backyard.

  13. Baby birds of any type have the most awkward teen/feather development phases. Those are some ugly ass awkward looking chickens, but I am sure they will grow into themselves like most birds do. They are so ugly they are almost cute! :D

  14. Nice dog and bad @$$ bird, there was a few here in La. I've owned Gray's and Hatches in the past but they banned our game fowl.

lol it's way worse. it's like eating rubber that won't break!

  19. I would imagine so! Any animal that is mainly muscle is going to be gamey and tough as hell!

That's why veal pretty much melts in your mouth....

  20. Gamefowl may not be very intelligent, but I can tell you for a fact my macaw is much much smarter than your dogs or my dogs will ever be. Not all birds are stupid - a lot of the parrots have the intellect of a small child. I don't know any dogs that can solve math problems, do puzzles, and ask for whatever they want by name. :D
