They have the VSBA show every month. It's lots of fun. We try to go as often as possible. The next show is february 7th. The january show was awesome. I didn't show any dogs that month. I competed in the weight pull, which is also alot of fun. I think if there are as many people that went in january go every month it'll continue to be a really fun show. Is anyone else going in february? We will probably show our boy mojo again. I know I'm going to compete in the weight pull again. There weren't a whole lot of people in the weight pull. I think it would be fun for others to come and compete in that too. My lil boy loves to watch the treadmill race. Those dogs are amazingly fast. I think they are still doing the discount dog ids in february, so that's a good perk. I can't wait for the next show. We look forward to it every month. We actually start planning for the next show on our way home from the show. lol. I hope there's a great turnout again at this show. Hope to see you all there.

hey rallyracer. we've seen you there. that blue dog of yours is awesome. he's got more energy than a nuclear power plant. lol. this is j&y we usually show mojo, and hang out next to splk. we have rumble now. i've been working hard w/ him. i really hope there's gonna be alot of people there next time. this is the best way i've seen to show this breed in a positive light. what did ya'll think about mike's judging? i think that was just an all around awesome show. i'll bet the next one will be awesome too, now that there's alot of new people who see how fun it was. see ya'll there.:D

i dont ever get bent out of shape if the judges dont pick my dogs- there have been instances in the past where the choice might raise an eyebrow as to "what were they thinking?" but i look at it this way- its a fun show, it gets us out of the house for the day to mingle w/ some dog folk. i think too many folks take showing to seriously-but thats just my opinion. at the end of the day, my dog is just as good in my eyes wether or not they took home a trophy or not ( example- december Dimitri took 1st 3-5M , Best Blue Dog and Best Male of Show....january he didnt even place. some get bent out of shape, i say "oh well, there is always next time")
someday Dimitri might mellow out...someday

RC- is that another Mims monster?

its good fun, we will see you all out there

lol that mystery man looks familiar. i agree rr the show is about fun. i had so much fun @ the last one i couldn't even sleep that night. if somoene as well known as iron mike norrod has nothing but great things to say about the show, you know it's gotta be a good one. we love going to the show. even though i hate long car rides, i don't mind makin this one. the only thing that bothered me was someone posted on another board that mike only picked his "friends". that's just plain negativity and that bothered me. the only "friends" he had up there didn't even show their dogs so people couldn't say that. i thought he did a good job. what do ya'll think? do you still pull your dogs rr? i didn't notice last show cause things were kinda everywhere for me. i invited alot of people to come and they needed help figuring things out. plus, i was trying to concentrate on rumble. and my other half was also proccupied:p. hey rc, is that the male you were talking about @ the last show? he looks really good.

That monster all 40lbs (CW) of him is only a tad bit of Mims on the top. He's what I consider a loose line bred Eli/Carver dog going back to a bunch of Frisco, Skull/Maverick and Snooty (mims blood) on top and heavy Jeep/Floyd, OutLaw/Bandit, and Nigerino on the bottom. So he's sorta a scatter/ battle cross loose family bred depending which way you look at it. LOL

Exile kennels? have they been to recent shows? i don't recall the name. i don't know the kennel names of many people that go there though. it's easier to remember the names of their dogs. i'm not real sure i'll be showing in conformation, but i was still curious. haven't had all the time i planned for to work with mojo. thanks for the info rc. are you gonna bring that good lookin red dog back up there?

  20. I was there in January. Kush placed 1st in 4-6 month old males, 1st in puppy treadmill race, and best tri colored dog.

I was pleased with Mr. Norrod's judging. The one thing I really liked that he mentioned in the handler's meeting was the difference between a starved down dog and a conditioned dog. His judging reflected it too. I've seen people who cut a dog's food instead of putting in work come and show their dogs at a fun show and clean house. That did not happen at this show.
