I am seriously thinking about getting this pup.
    http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=288079
I am still pretty new to the bloodline game, but I have heard of quite a few dogs in there.
I am looking for thoughts about this pup and her pedigree.
I am also interested in her as a possible future mate for my boy Jaeger.
    Thanks for your time.

hmmmmm......well i don't know anything about any of the dogs in that pedigree until u go way far back which at this point doesn't count anyway. I don't know if i would breed that carver pup to ur dog, ur not really accomplishing much by doing that kind of breeding, unless u plan on keeping all the pups and working with them then i say do what u want

I already have seven people that have been waiting for a pup from Jaeger for over a year. Everytime they ask, I tell them eventually. He has his own following, no matter what his pedigree.

You cant be for real??? . Just because thay arnt breeding gamebred dogs don't mean thay are BYB's. So what if thay breed a scatterbred litter. That is there own damn bussness. You must have missed this at the top of the ped.
Jaeger has his AKC Canine Good Citizen Award, Therapy Dog Certification, is a certified Service Dog, has his Herding Instinct Certification, and has his Flyball Dog, Flyball Dog Excellent, Flyball Dog Champion and Flyball Dog Champion Silver titles. He is ADBA pointed toward his ACE. He also has earned his U-AGI (UKC agility) title, with a High In Trial award for a score of 199; and has one leg toward his U-AGII title. He has his WP3 title in APA weightpulling.

Looks as if thay are working there dogs and portraying the breed in a positive light at the same time. Way to come off as a Jerk. Big Game

I sure can't make heads or tails yet of peds, but that is a great looking dog and a very smart one at that. I may be in love.....;):p

  13. Yea I am. WHY? WHY? WHY? I stand by my statement. A game dog is breeding is done for an entirely different reason than a "show" dog. Why mess it all up and do a breeding that makes no sense. Oppinion was asked for and I gave mine. If you want to breed for PET BULLS go ahead, but I will always throw in my 2 cents if asked.

Would you call Jaeger "show" bred?

    what does "show" bred mean?

you're baiting us into criticizing her dog, if she wants our opinions on how we think her dog is bred and if her dog is good for show or not, why not let her ask herself!

or how about put your own dogs up and ask what type shows we think they're good for instead of other peoples dogs

    moderbaiting at it's best

Yes we were asked our opinions and no you are not wrong for throwing in youre 2 cents on the subject. The op never stated that thay were interested in owning or breeding gamedogs. If that was what the op was breeding for I would not advise thay make the breeding.

It is obvious that the main focus of there program is not produceing gamedogs. Rather dogs for flyball, weight pull etc.....

To each there own. What someone does with there bulldogs is there own bussness.

Imo, the words back yard breeder carry a huge negative stigma. The worst damn thing someone in these dogs can be called. That term should be reserved for people sticking any old damn dogs together with no standerds at all. No focus at all. People poluteing the gene pool, producing unhealthy, Unstable animals.

We all need to along. There are enuf people threatning the vary existance of our breed . Trying to destroy our breed and culture. We dont need to tear each other appart.

    P.s. I don't breed dogs at all.

Who asked you? Why don't you GTF out of my Kool-Aid? For someone who acts like you can't stand me, you sure as hell can't seem to leave me alone, Minor, err, Gorilla, err nouseforaclue or whatever you're calling yourself now. You've got no room to talk about me what-so-fucking-ever. I'm confident doing my own thing, but you can't even stand behind your own name. I never asked anybody's opinions on my dogs, and frankly, you're the last little twerp I need to hear from. You have zero credibility, and are more of a troll than I could ever be. Take your little mealy-mouthed objections and shove 'em.

If you're going to answer the question, answer the question. If not, quit talking to me. I didn't even ask your dumb ass the question in the first place, because I aint got shit to say to you. You're a cur who follows me around the message boards playing these cloak-and-dagger bullshit games, and it's lame. I could give a fuck what you do, and have no reason to bait you, because you're happy enough flapping your own gums. I don't even have to pull your string to listen to your chatty Cathy routine. If you're so paranoid that you think I'm baiting, maybe you should share whatever you're on with the group.

Oh hell. I guess you're going to accuse me of baiting you into fighting me so I could ban you now, huh? Because I'm the biased mod who bans everybody left and right. (I've banned 12 people, 7 of which were spammers and duplicate accounts, just so's ya know. All the others were discussed in the mod's forum and agreed upon by everybody.) If anybody's baiting, its you. Go play your little passive-aggressive games elsewhere if you don't like it. I'm not going to continue to sit on whatever opinion I might have just because it might piss you off.

Big Game: Im with you in regards to minding my own business when it comes down to what people do (breeding)with their animals, but I have seen you post(in the thread, why a game dog) that apbt=gameness and if its not bred for gameness than it is a staff..Are condoning breeding a staff?.Is breeding this dog (Jager) to the female mentioned not polluting the line/gene pool?.Would you care to explain how its NOT polluting the gene pool?.

A back yard breeder is in your opinion the worst thing someone in these dogs can be called?. Dog thief, cheater, paper hanger..These in my opinion would all rank alot higher on the list of undesireable things to be called than backyard breeder..To be honest I never even heard the term BYB until I came to this site..

"Its obvious that the main focus of this program is not producing gamedogs.Rather dogs for flyball,weightpull,etc.." If thats the case get yourself a different breed of dog..There should only be one trait in which a program is based on,and it damn sure isnt flyball!.

ultimatek9 wrote: "I already have seven(7) people waiting for a pup out of Jager for over a year.." Maybe this is the reason for the breeding?..

ultimatek9: Your dog Jager is a nice looking dog,and you should be proud of yourself for what you have accomplished with him,but I would advise against breeding him..Leave the breeding to the people that know what their doing..
On a final note, I do applaud you for putting the dog(s) in a good light..

Bahamutt: I thought in the rules that it states you cannot argue with the poster, only the post..Does this rule exclude moderators or what?.

OK. IMO the pup is well bred, but it isn't really a good fit into your program ultimatek9. Firstly, she will just scatter the pedigree further. Secondly, it is a game bred line & it will probably cause more problems for you than you would like, since your goals are titling in dog friendly activities.

I would recommend going w/ a line that is already producing what you are engaging in. The very best bet would be to go back to Jaeger's breeder. You already know they're producing dogs that will excel in the arena you compete in & the blood will nick.

If you don't want to go back to his breeder I'd recommend Lar-San or Ro-Ki. Yeah, it would be scatter breeding, but these lines are doing well in the arenas you compete in & they *usually* aren't terribly DA.

But if you really want to infuse gamebred lines I'd go back to the Wildside blood, since that is already in Jaeger's background. That way you'd have a tie in (although thin b/c the WSK blood is so far back) & you'd be bringing some of Jaeger's foundation blood back to the front. But once again we must consider the problem of DA, since WSK dogs are not bred to play friendly with other dogs.

That being said, if it were me, I'd be going back to Jaeger's breeder for a pup.

    JMHO ...

That dog is very well bred and those banjo dogs are hot as hell most of the time. I would love to have her BUT for a mate for yor male its pretty much like ABK said. That is a performance bred dog and might turn up the heat just when you think is all good for her to hang around other dogs. Tell ya what just send her to me and Ill take GOOD care of her. LOL YIS J
