ROM used to be a way the SDJ rated a dogs producing ability, and since the SDJ has stopped it will be hard to find real rom dogs now.

ROM isn't a good measurement of how a dog is producing anyhow, breed a dog enough times, its sure to make the list. Many of those dogs on that list, have been bred 100s of times.

I think jeep was bred the most out of all of them. From what i heard is that the owners of jeep would back jeep up to any bitch if people had the money.

Back in the days when it was legal, a champion was a dog who won three contracted matches while a grand champion was one that won five.

Is it possible to find any true Ch. or Gr. Ch. today? With the laws on the bulldog community, plus with the addition of shady people in the breeding industry, finding a true Ch. pr Gr. Ch. would be tough. Any one can float rumors about a dog over the internet, create a false pedigree, and sell the pups for a lot of money. I am always a little leary about hyped up dogs, because there is no way to check the facts. Buying a game bred pup is a crap shoot as far as I can tell, JMO.

That wouldn't work at all because so many of these dogs had offspring that were just bred instead of worked. When someone knows a dog is putting the same thing into his offspring they usually buy a pup and preach about the papers and then start breeding the dog. If everyone that bought a dog off these actually worked the dog then you might be able to use your method. Quite simply your method is far too idealistic to work in these dogs.

Buy from honest people with honest dogs. Don't buy off of an internet dogger. It can be hard to track down good animals because most with them aren't going to be peddling to the public but with the right names and referrals you can often times buy a very well bred dog off of working lines.

LOL, whatever you say man... ROM doesn't mean crap nowadays. There are no certified CH or GR CH. It is illegal to fight dogs. People just continue to use these tags to toss on their dogs. I bet 50%+ that use these terms don't know what they mean or have a dog even worthy of the title. My point still stands that you are being far too idealistic.

Very true and great advice! Whatever blood you want go to the source of it or get referrals from the source, buy a pup from someone who knows their dogs and what their dogs are putting on the ground. To me a pup off a titled dog is no better than a pup off a well bred dog from an honest breeder. Depends on who you talk to and what you are looking for.

this is not true at all. In Balkan countries there are still trusted dogmen who are still active in this business and game. All matches are recorded. I still know a lot of Ch and Gr Ch in Europe.

There's missing dogs on that list, Gr Ch Barracuda for example!
and the 3 points means 3 ch/gr ch, so no need to produce 4 or more ch/gr ch right? it's 3
