Re: Hammonds....
I have a friend with a little bitch out of Hammonds Scout and Hammonds Bobgirl... Very nice breeding by the way!! He is planning on breeding her to Hailstone at some point or another... So I am oh so patiantly waiting for that to happen!! I am hoping to get a male and female out of the litter.... If she drops enough.... I had been told that Hailstone had died... and was rather confused, and a little worried/disapointed... Thanks for clearing this up!!

Personally I wouldn't pay the price to own one of these dogs again. The first one I owned had a severe case of demodex, the second is a decent dog, and the third was worthless.
There are some damn good ones off this line, not taking that away from them at all, just think that with the numbers ones I've seen its not worth it. I've seen them with generalized Demodex (which was fairly common with the young kennel), severe under/over bites, and structure problems. In other words getting a bit too inbred for my tastes, and the flaws are more prominate then the strengths.
Mr. Hammonds' is an easy going man, and takes time to talk to everyone. If that is your line of choice that's where I would say go to get one.

Re: Hammonds....
Thanks for the input Lady. Check out my dog, she has some of his blood in her and you should see her body structure. She's in the gallery. Maybe she's just an acception to your rule about him. She looks WAAY better in person though! I'm waiting for Hammonds to get his website back up. He told me to check back in a little while so I can check out some of his studs online. So I'm just waiting. I was just curious about this dog and what he was doing.

Actually your dog is bred down from Hammond stock, but not directly off his yard, correct? The dogs I am referring to are directly off his stock, say down from Parkson for example. Your dog looks great!
I'm not saying that all from that stock have structure problems but I've seen it over and over. Like I said not taking anything away from his line, because he has produced some damn fine dogs over the years, just saying that from what I have seen the % just isn't high. I see many more dogs that are not working, then dogs that are.
Now once a dog leaves a breeders yard and starts producing offspring of its own then those offspring are not really "Hammond's" dogs anymore because the new breeder has their own ideas breed toward those goals, and we all know that everyone is different..lol Hope this makes sense? lol
