Three famous names that come to mind from the Eli/Spook breeding are: Eli Jr., Bullyson, and a bitch named Brendy.

Eli Jr. was a fantastic 2xw himself and sire of one of the greatest dogs of all time, the 7xw Gr.Ch. Art. Art was unfortunately stolen and never recovered. Before Art was stolen the breedings made with him produced a high percentage of quality game dogs and enough to make Art a 'ROM' producer. Just to imagine what Art could have produced if he wouldn't have been taken is enough to boggle the mind.

Art had a litter brother who was an exceptionally talented dog in his own right, the 3xw Ch. Hurt. Bullyson was a 2xw, 1xL and another fantastic producer. Bullyson's only loss was to one of his sons Benny Bob.

Benny Bob subsequently lost to Jimmy Boots in a classic match. Bullyson's legend as a producer can be found in many dogs, but his most famous offspring has to be the 5xw Ch. Honeybunch, the all time leading 'ROM' bitch. Honeybunch subsequently produced the 4xw Ch. Jeep. Jeep now ranks as the number one 'ROM' dog to this day.

Other famous Bullyson offspring are Loposay's Buster 'ROM', and the ever so famous Midnight Cowboy. Brendy when bred to her brother Eli Jr., produced P. Carver's Black Shine.

Shine subsequently produced the legendary 8xw, 1xL Ch Rascal, Oso Negro a brother to Rascal, and the world famous P. Carver's Stomponato.

Rascal when bred to Honeybunch produced the 3xw Polly, who in turn was bred to Jeep's father the 6xw, 1xL Ch. Bo 'ROM', thereby producing the great 7xw Gr.Ch. Outlaw.

Another famous Eli bred dog was the 5xw Gr.Ch. Nigerino. Nigerino represents some of the purest Eli Jr. blood to be found today and is a highly respected bloodline in its own right.

has anyone heard of the dawn rest blood line. that was one of the originals dating back to the late 1800's to early 1900's. back when america thought of the pit bull as the greatest family dog.

Are you talking about Dawnrest Kennels? If so they have been breeding since the 70's. I remember there ads in the SDJ when they would name every line ever bred in the ad saying there dogs were down from those lines. Of course they are just like I can take my house dog back to colby's pincher. Not to say they don't produce good dogs because I know nothing of there dogs but if this is the Dawnrest you are talking about I certainly wouldn't say it is an original bloodline. http://www.dawnrestdogs.org/HISTORY.html

If this is not the Dawnrest you are speaking of please enlighten me.

Are far as Bullyson being a cur talk to Clemmons, Bobby H. and Flyod B., they were there and will tell you different.
Eli was stolen and alot of people believe that Eli (not Eli Jr.) was the sire of Zebo. Supposedly there were rumors that Eli ended of along the East Cost. Frank Rocca talks about it in his book Fighting for Life. Basically he says if Zebo came from a litter that was 1/2 black nose and 1/2 red nose, how come he never through a red nose pup. Frank bred 2 red/red nose females to Zebo and got all black pups.
Another thing is that alot of people believe that most "Bullyson" dogs that came from Carver's yard were really off Ironhead. He had a statue of Ironhead on his yard and not Bullyson.
Things to think about.
But I'll always have an Eli dog of some kind.
