Welcome to the Pit Bull Forums.

Welcome to Pit Bull Community!

We are dedicated to the preservation of the pit bull in its original form as a game-bred dog and in its modern incarnations as a loving companion pet and top competitor in weight pull competitions and conformation shows.

We are opposed to all forms of animal cruelty, and do not promote any illegal activities, but we celebrate the history of the pit bull and value its qualities of courage, strength and tenacity as the essence of the breed.

We are therefore against all forms of breed-specific legislation, and work to protect the constitutional rights of pit bull owners.

If this is your first visit with us, or even if you have been browsing around, we urge you to register and join our community!

Thumbs down #1 Problem
If we are to save the APBT we as breeders need to be aware of who we are selling puppies to and if we need to bred at all. I love my APBT but I would never think of breediing her because I dont feel that I am qualified to put the life of a puppy into the hands of a stranger. I am so sick of seeing young black menalking down the street in their "hood" with a six month old puppy sporting a cow chain. This is were the stereotype comes from, this is why we are all going to suffer. Im not saying all African Americans are bad pet owners but if some young thug walks into your yard with his pants sagging and hair braided 9x10 he is up to know good and you as the breeder are contributing to the demise of the APBT. Be conscience of who you sell puppies and keep these creeps under control by saying no. Someone who tries to make a three month old puppy hang from a towel should not own a APBT. Help preserve a breed that brings so much joy to those that really care.

WOW.
They have just as much right to walk down the street with thier dog as anyone else does.
This is still AMERICA.
EVERYONE has rights.

I start my dogs on flirt pole at 5 weeks old.
What does that hurt they love it.

This is going to start a big arguement because I'm black and I do walk my dogs which are pits and I automatically get dirty looks by the police and other people because at times I do walk my dogs wearing a hat and sometimes baggy pants because they are comfortable to me. I get judged by people that don't know but see that I wear certain clothes a certain way and walk my dogs on a heavy chain. But thats not the point a personally think we should close this before people really get offended because things like this make me not even want to own a Pit bull because people see me and automatically think I fight them and I'm up to NO GOOD.

Agreed. You can't stick any certain issue on any race. There are horrible owners of every color. Some of these people you "write-off" as horrible owners might take better care of their dogs than you do! Let's keep the racial crap out of this. We can all agree that there are bad owners from every walk of life and race.
