Welcome to Pit Bull Community!
We are dedicated to the preservation of the pit bull in its original form as a game-bred dog and in its modern incarnations as a loving companion pet and top competitor in weight pull competitions and conformation shows.
We are opposed to all forms of animal cruelty, and do not promote any illegal activities, but we celebrate the history of the pit bull and value its qualities of courage, strength and tenacity as the essence of the breed.
We are therefore against all forms of breed-specific legislation, and work to protect the constitutional rights of pit bull owners.

I love the smaller dogs. I have heard of a couple around the 18-20 lb. mark but never half of that! Hell, thats smaller than most Patterdales which are commonly called "MINI" pits!

MAN, I would LOVE to have a REAl bulldog that size. Forget the Chihuahuas and Poodles, time for a NEW kind of "Lap Dog"!!!!

Re: The Smallest American “Pit” Bull Terrier on Record
Since we were posting on different threads about the larger dogs, I'd like to see everyone's smaller pits. I'll have to post some of ours later this evening.

Now that's a pocket pit! I was going through pedigree's and found one way back at 12 pounds. The is the smallest one "officially" I ran across before this one!

My uncles pit was bit in the head by a rattlesnake as a puppy, it stunted his growth. He isn't that small though.

The owner of Freddy(EM) ran/runs a dog registry/quarterly magazine out of NC..There was a picture of him in the Contender with him standing on a coffee table next to a tv remote and he wasnt that much bigger..lol..He was also pictured with his littermate, who was an average sized(40 or so lbs) dog..

Re: The Smallest American “Pit” Bull Terrier on Record
Wow my dog was 9lbs at about ehhh 8 weeks? Are the dogs parents carriers of this genetic disease? I wonder why it only showed up in one pup. I hope they keep him as a "one of a kind" and don't breed him.
