Pictures of Cassius
I've been reading this forum while and finally thought I'd sign up and post. Here are some pictures I took on a walk the other day.
He's a KC Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and he's definitely no game dog, but I still like to work him. Loves to hunt small game. He's still young, so we've just started with conditioning, but I'd like to harden him up a little. Some of the dogs I've seen here are just ripped, and I'd eventually like to get him there as well. Let me know what you think, as well as any suggestions for for conditioning.
Cassius at 13 months.
28lbs, 15.5 inches at the shoulder

nice looking dog. as far as body conditiion goes you got em looking pretty good too
for hardening em up a litte more i would say handwalking will do the trick, cant overdo it and your pup will love you for it! good luck

Re: Pictures of Cassius
He's fantastic looking.
Question: Is he neutered? If so, when did you get him done and would you say his muscle tone is that of an unaltered dog? My pup is getting snipped at 5 months and I'm just worried he won't be physically up to par with unaltered males.
Also, I noticed you are in Fresno and that is only a few hours away from me. I've always been interested in SBTs...do you mind telling me the kennel name of where you got him?

Re: Pictures of Cassius
Thank you all for your compliments
BringBackup: I waited to have him neutered at just shy of 1 year old (like 11.5 months), specifically because I was worried about the same thing. I read a few studies online about how neutering dogs prior to puberty affects not only muscular development but also their bone structure, so I decided to wait a while longer. Maybe if I'd waited another year he'd have a tighter physique, but I'm not exactly sure how noticeable the difference would be.
As for the kennel, unfortunately, this dog was flown out from Florida. I can PM you the name if you're interested.
Thanks again,

Re: Pictures of Cassius
He's from UK show lines. His sire is all Valglo dogs, and the dam is Rivendell/Donellas.
Thank you guys for the compliments
