Friends and family of Woodland murder victim, Andrew Keith Campos, attended the arraignment of his accused killer Tuesday."He was a wonderful person; the most gentle, kind, non-confrontational person you've ever met," said Campos family friend Ximena Meyer, "It's a senseless death."
Melvin Crouch, 37, was formally charged in Commissioner Janene Beronio's Court Tuesday with first degree murder, including an enhancement of "use of a knife or dagger." Autopsy results revealed Campos died of multiple sharp force injuries.

police to say he had just killed his landlord. Both Couch and Campos lived at 621 Thomas St., and a recent Craigslist posting suggested the living situation was strained. Less than three hours before his murder, Campos posted an advertisement for a roommate.
"I have a room in a four bedroom house I'd like to rent out due too a horrible tenant being evicted," the posting read.
A Nov. 1 move-in date is indicated on the posting, as well as a prerequisite of no refunds once rent was paid, because Campos said it has been an issue in the past.
Crouch is being held at the Monroe Detention Center without bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10.
