Meet Guinness! Guinness is a young adult 3-year-old "American Bully.." For those of you who may not be familar with AmBulls, the American Bully breed was established in the mid 1990s with the purpose of creating the ultimate family companion and by cross-breeding the American Pit Bull Terrier with the American Staffordshire Terrier.

Guinness is a loyal, stable, sociable, amiable, and has an outgoing temperament. He is a happy and confident dog. He is gentle and loving towards people. He is good-natured and amusing. This dog wants nothing more than to please you

Physically, Guinness has an impressive, athletic build, which is both muscular and defined, and displays strength and agility. He has a large head and shorter legs than usually seen in Pit Bulls. He is truly an attractive dog. Guinness weighs about 70 lbs.

If you're looking for a big guy who will be happy just to be around you, Guinness is it. He LOVES people and will do anything to be petted. He will interrupt his eating just to come to you for a snuggle. He has yet to meet a stranger! To quote his foster, “Everybody loves him and he loves everybody.”

Guinness walks well on a loose leash and is house and crate trained. He responds well to commands and learns quickly. His motivation is to please you, so you can use that to teach him anything. He will “work” all-day-long for a “Good boy!”, but he also likes his treats. He is a medium energy dog, although he will play quite heartily with his male Pit Bull house mate. He would really rather sit next to you than play, but will play, especially in the evening when it's cooler. He has been well-socialized and gets along with dogs of both sexes. Sometimes, he and his Pt Bull buddy like to spend time together in the same crate. He is OK with cats, but tends to stare at them. The stare is easy to break with a simple “No!”

Guinness needs an owner who is firm, but calm, confident and consistent. This dog needs to know what is expected of him; rules to follow and limits to what he is or is not allowed to do.

He loves children and is very tolerant to being pushed, pulled and tugged at. However, he is a hefty dog and, inadvertently, could easily knock a small child over. The useful thing with children is that Guinness will certainly give them daily baths, as he is the "kissiest" dog ever.

Guinness is an unusually pleasant, handsome, gentle, and loving dog and just needs a home to call his own!

Guinness is healthy, up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m. at the Idle Hour, 201 E. Fort Avenue in Baltimore, and everyone’s invited.

The one-night-only “outlaw art” exhibit is unique in two ways: The owners of the Idle Hour aren’t aware that it’s being installed, and the subject is not aware he is the subject, and likely never will be.

That’s all we can say at this point.
From SPK had the good old-time Red Devil stock from I.M.? The anscestors of Ch. Dutchess. He also had a couple of Red Inferno dogs from Mr. and Mrs. Woods. My question is why was the Red Inferno crossed into the Red Devil stock? Also Mr. McG crossed his Red Inferno blood He acquired from D.G. Into some tight Frisco blood. What does or did the Red Inferno blood bring to the lines it was crossed with if anything? I have dealt with D.G. In the past. I owned a male out of a bitch called Ironline's Assassin down from Real McCoy. I have moved several times and have lost more phone #'s than I care to admit. Any knowledgeable persons please feel free to comment . I posted this thread for discussion only as I have seen or heard little on the Red Inferno dogs.

ILLEGAL American pit bull terriers are being smuggled into Britain disguised as incredibly ugly children, according to customs officials.

Banned in the UK since 1991
Criminal gangs have developed increasingly sophisticated methods to evade the authorities. Earlier this year a smuggler tried to pass through customs carrying a pitbull with a handle glued to its back, claiming it was a novelty briefcase.

The dogs, banned in the UK since 1991, are used as a warm-up act before toddler fights.

Roy Hobbs, deputy director of HM Revenue and Customs, said: "We've lost count of the number of times we've challenged a young mother, accusing her of attempting to smuggle a pit bull, only to discover that it was in fact an incredibly ugly baby.

"I mean, just horribly ugly. I'm talking 'Hills Have Eyes' ugly. So ugly you wonder if it's some kind if bizarre hybrid.

"You look at the mother and think to yourself, 'she's actually not that bad' so the father must have been some kind of scientific experiment gone wrong.

"Anyway, the point is we can't tell the difference and not surprisingly the mother can get quite upset when we tell her that her child looks like an illegal dog."

Officials say babies should no longer be classed as hand luggage and anything that looks like a baby will have to be dropped into a large perspex bin before passing through security.

Hobbs added: "I'm talking scary-Halloween-mask ugly."

http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/b...s-20070830376/ ...thats some funny shit....:D

The bluetick and redbone coonhounds — along with the Boykin spaniel — have been officially recognized as breeds by the American Kennel Club.

The acceptance of the three new breeds brings to 164 the number of breeds fully recognized as such by the AKC.

The Boykin spaniel will join the sporting group while both the bluetick coonhound and redbone coonhound will join the hound group.

The new breeds will be eligible for full AKC registration and competition in their respective groups at conformation shows held on and after December 30, 2009.

The bluetick coonhound gets its name from its coat pattern, which is dark blue in color and covered in a ticking or mottled pattern. The bluetick is noted for*its skill in trailing and treeing raccoons and other small animals. The breed has origins in the English coonhound. In 1945, bluetick breeders broke away to form their own slower-working dog that could pick up older scent trails.

The redbone coonhound is noted for its speed and agility and its ability*to hunt and swim over a variety of terrain. The redbone dates back to red foxhounds brought to the U.S.*by Scottish immigrants in the late 1700s and red foxhounds imported from Ireland before the Civil War.

The Boykin Spaniel, in addition to being the official state dog of South Carolina, is a medium-sized hunting dog with a cheerful, energetic personality. The breed was developed in South Carolina in the early 1900s by*L. Whitaker Boykin, originally to*hunt wild turkeys.

The road to full AKC recognition requires non-recognized breeds to first gain acceptance into*the AKC Foundation Stock Service. After a breed has been in FSS the recognition process begins with a written request to compete in the miscellaneous class from the National Breed Club.* While there is no established timetable for adding new breeds, dogs typically compete in the miscellaneous class for one to three years.* More information on the process can be found at the AKC’s website.

*The next breeds in line for full recognition by AKC are the Icelandic Sheepdog, Cane Corso and Leonberger.

Sometimes the news media is just soooo cynical.

Case in point: Pfizer, the drug company, is*extolling the benefits of taking the family dog along when*traveling for*the holidays.*The holidays are stressful times, Pfizer notes. Dogs can help relieve stress. Why leave a beloved member of the family behind?

In an*email to various news media outlets, Pfizer makes note as well of the “tough economic times” (unless maybe you’re a drug company executive) and how “the unconditional love from your dog can go a long way toward helping your family manage that extra stress.”

How thoughtful.* Imagine, a multi-national corporate giant like that being so full of holiday spirit that they are thinking about us little people/dog owners when they could be obsessing,*Scrooge-like,*about profits.

Pfizer even*launched a Twitter feed called “Dog On Board”*to “help families talk about including their dog in their family holiday.”*

Leave it to the*Wall Street Journal, in the newspaper’s*”Health Blog,” to suggest Pfizer might have an ulterior motive when it suggests you pack your dog along in the car or airplane when you make your holiday trip.

Pfizer sells Cerenia, a drug that*prevents motion sickness and vomiting*in dogs.

Lest that makes you, too,*doubt*Pfizer’s*sincerity and compassion, allow me to remind you that Pfizer is the same company that offered this summer to*give away more than 70 of its most widely prescribed human drugs, including Lipitor, Zoloft*and Viagra, for up to a year to people who have lost jobs since Jan. 1 and have been taking the drug for three months or more.

Of course, there were cynics when they did that, too — those who speculated the company was doing it for a tax write-off, to gain favor in Washington, or to ensure that those who are hooked on Pfizer’s fine products, maintain their, shall we say,*allegiance.

While the news media and bloggers are having a field day with what they see as Pfizer’s awkwardly see-through*attempt to drum up business, I, for one, salute the drug company –* not just for bringing relief to the*estimated one in seven dogs who get carsick, and not just for ensuring that an*unemployed man can get, if not a job, at least a boner, but for being able to fool so many of the people so much of the time.

John Aaron Norris, 25, of San Miguel said his dog ran underneath his feet, tripping him and causing the semi-automatic rifle*he was holding to fire.

Norris is accused of*involuntary manslaughter in the July 9 shooting death of* 24-year-old Tasha Dawn Norris. His preliminary hearing *is scheduled to resume today.

Norris pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter charge and to a charge of *possessing an illegal weapon at his home — a semiautomatic rifle found by investigators, according to The Tribune in San Luis Obispo.

Sheriff’s deputies testified Wednesday that Norris stated he was standing on the stairs when the dog ran under his feet and tripped him. He was holding the gun because he was planning to remove the ammunition before fire inspectors came to his home to examine new sprinklers in the condominium.

Tasha Norris was seated on a couch in the home when she was shot, according to investigators. Medics attempted to revive her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
