All my dogs are over 19 inches tall. I'm to lazy to measure them all right now but I did for another forum and I can't find the thread so I'll guesstimate.

Here is Venus. She's about 20 inches.

Marz is about 23 inches.
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a90/satanscheerleader/DSCF1556.jpg

Nyx is about 21 inches.
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a90/satanscheerleader/Nyx.jpg

Arez is about 20 inches. Crappy picture. Sorry.

And last but not least, the meathead Tank watching some tube. He's about 22 inches.

Most of my dogs are real rangy and lean. The only one built a little lower is my Little Gator ROM pup bred down through Ickis and a slight Frisco out. He's a real long mutt but has perfect conformation. I'll have to get a few shots up one day when I'm out in the yard. I don't like short stalky dogs because they are at a working disadvantage compared to a nice lean dog with a long flexible neck and good angulation in the legs. Efficiency is everything so I like to make sure the dogs have all the proper tools to get their job done. I'm not saying everydog that was a good one to look through a collar needs to follow a cookie cutter mold because there have been exceptions but I prefer the rangy flexible tough as nails type dog :)

Regards,

B

Yes, I did. I didn't like the @ symbol, the only reason I used that was because it wouldn't let me choose the name with an 'A'. So, PitDawg was similar.

LOL. I could care less about my dogs measurements. The only measurement I would go by if there was one is one for heart. But that can't be measured with a ruler.

Yep. He hears too well. Always underfoot when the microwave "dings". My husband keeps threatening to amputate his reamining front leg if he doesn't stay out of the way. And they do seem more popular, but not for the better. They are becomming another breed that is starting to suffer from byb's & puppy peddlers b/c they are still able to taunt them as a "rare" breed. Butch came from P.R. We did not get him from the U.S. And I probably wouldn't at this time.

Sounds spunky---I love spunk. :)

I'm seeing alot of dogs in my local shelters that look like pits, but are tall like Dogos. I wonder if they're being bred together more than we all know . . . : (

This is Mac and he stands 24". He's a rescue and we're not sure of the mix, but most likely pit/mastiff. He's 20 months old, give or take.

Yeah, dig around . . . if you like pits, you'll probably find them interesting. The ones I have seen, however, do not have pitty temperments~they're more guarding and can be stand-offish with strangers, but not all. Pretty neat dogs. :)

they are hunting dogs want one come to south Louisiana lol they all ova its like the regional mutt. they got a prey drive so anything thats running away will probly get chased and like luigi said they can be a lil people agressive with strangers. people crossem out down here with pits and mastiffs to run with their beagles as protection and work at larger game as catch dogs. they runnem here for coons, hogs, etc.

Yeah, they do have alot of em down here. Some are really nice looking dogs, but some can be downright ugly. We have a lot of them here because it is our state dog. Do other states have state dogs?

Yes, sadly, around where I am they mix them with pits to get "blues." Instead you get a spastic pit, lol. Trust me, I know. ;)

Oh they can be great. My guy lives with my six cats, although it took ALOT of training because they have a high prey drive.
