500,000 Signatures in 45 Days

Dog owners in California won't go down without a fight and they need your help - NOW.

Dog owners are mobilizing to overturn California's new and insidious breed discrimination measure, SB 861. To get SB861 on the ballot as a referendum, they need 500,000 signatures.

They need volunteers to canvass neighborhoods, parks and pet stores to collect those signatures. So sign up 10 friends, and they can sign up 10 more, and so on and let's get this show on the road.

If..........

You live in California
You have friends in California
You have relatives in California
You know other dog owners in California
You do business in California
Your third cousin's half sister lives in California
Then volunteer, call them and ask them to volunteer. It's easy. They get the official petition, and they ask dog owners in their local neighborhood to sign and help save California's dogs.

Volunteer today by emailing: Dogs@chako.org (http://us.f311.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=Dogs@chako.org) Include your

I just signed up to help with the petition. I hope that more dog owners that live here in CA that are on this board do the same.

let me get this straight, i have been in contact with somebody else trying to do this but am not sure if they have actually started the legal part yet. i was told lawyer fees and processing fees and material fees were needed. anyhow the people who sign this petition have to be a registered voter right. just want to get it clear.

I would imagine that they would need to be registered voters but am not clear on that. I can email someone over there and ask.

thanks that would be very helpfull. like i said i have been intersted in helping since i don't have a job right now i can spare some time, if they don't have to be registrered it would be better becaause most of the people i know aren't and a lot of them own apbt's and would sign.

Even if you have felonies you can still register(they don't check trust me). So if they want to tell them to go ahead and do it.
